I have about 560 desktops that I need to change the cookie settings on to allow all cookies. Anyone know how to do this through registry manipulation? Thoughts and ideas are appreciated.
Does anyone know how to change cookie settings through the registry? Specifically, I'm looking for a way to "Override automatic cookie handling" and "Always allow session cookies". We are deploying some new software that requires these changes to be made and I don't want to have to manually do...
Okay, I can handle that. As for the other maintenance tasks, what do you reccommend? Integrity check, etc. This will take care of the indexing, just curious about the other options and if I should run them. I already use BE9.1 to back up all of the SQL databases, so I am covered from a...
Okay, everyone is in agreement to do small chunks/tables at a time. Seeing as how I am not too SQL savvy, can you provide a suggestion/procedure for doing small chunks.
Thanks for the input.
Jay, I'm going to run a dbcc checkdb(mydb) with estimateonly to determine if the tempdb size is slowing down this process and will adjust accordingly.
Bill, reorganizing and indexing pages option is what I meant, sorry for the confusion. Attached is what came out of the log from this morning...
Question:
Just converted from SQL7 to SQL2K. Setup some maintenance plans for the user databases and system databases. 2 plans, 1 does reorg and integrity, the other does indexes. Reorg starts at 1 am, integrity at 2 am and indexes at 3. My questions is two-fold. With this maintenance plan...
Quick queston. Running SQL 2K setup on server that already has SQL7. CD autoruns and I can select Install Components and then I can select Install Database, but then it just sits there. I have closed/stopped all SQL services to no avail. I'm at a loss. Any ideas?
No, does not need to be a domain controller. Part of the problem arises because of the communication that takes place between the front-end (OWA) and the back-end (Exchange). Check IIS permissions to the Exchange store on the other server. Not much help, but that is where we started when we...
We have about 600 users and am running Exchange 5.5. Had all kinds of problems with SPAM mail going to senior executives. Have since purchased and installed XWall. It really works well and can run on the Exchange server with ver little overhead. Have had to work a bit to get everything honed...
Nevermind. In case any of you out there ever have this problem, apply the hidden attribute to the files at the root of C: and you will be fine. CA has no idea what the problem is. Thought I would share with everyone.
After installing eTrust AV 7.0 on several PCs, it was discovered that all non-hidden files had been removed from the root of the C: drive. Anyone seen this before or have any suggestions? Auditing simply indicates that the logged on user deleted the file in the event log.
Has the one user you are talking about recently had their Outlook upgraded? I know you are talking about OWA, but I had this same situation awhile back.
Regards
My organization was hit with this also. One easy solution I found for pinpointing infected PCs was by using Etherreal, a packet level sniffing utility that is free. Install this on a patched PC (with all RPC patches) and then install the program along with winpcap (it is needed to run...
Not really an answer, but an observation. After applying about 5 different updates on a 2K/SP4 member server, all three logs (application, security and system) no longer log anymore and are all empty. Sounds like MS released another bad patch.
