    Hmm.. I am annoyed with myself as I was going to do that but for some reason didnt. Anyway.. The problem is, the screen is not firing up. It doesnt even look like the backlight is on. Its like someone has unplugged it. So I cant do anything. I cant see what is happening, or any messages etc...

    OK, thanks again for the tips. Certainly got me into Progman etc.. followed the instructions, restarted..... still the same. I have however, managed to get the HD out, and piggy backed onto a good machine. Got what I want off of the old one, and its FORMAT time for the old one now!! Cheers...

    OK, Great tip, got me into safe mode a treat... but the bad news. It still goes into the same screen as when booting in normal mode.. except this time it has "safe mode" in ech corner! It does exactly the same thing, no tasks running, no processes, no start bar etc.. Just have to shut it...

    OK, Cheers so far guys, I am enlightened!! Slipstreaming is the way, so I am actively pursuing these methods, and currently am looking at Nlite.. I think you all need a pink star! Will let you know if it works, once I've put the disk together.. Tek-tips.. possibly the best forum in the world.
