We have some refurbished phones that have a password on them which is making it impossible to access the craft menu and clear the phone of it's programming. The phones boot and work but the password won't allow access to any other programming. The command "mutecraft#" doesn't work. Is there a...
Yes! I was logging into the wrong port. I used 5023 and that got me back to familiar ground. Thanks for the tip! 5022 had a different look and ASA didn't want to proceed. It stalled.
I have an S8300 and it's loaded with 5.2. I used an old laptop to access it which recently died. I just got another old laptop and loaded ASA and putty. When I access the login however and it asks me for terminal type it doesn't matter what I enter I end up at the Linux prompt and it says...
Yes we can use any of the phones you have listed and they boot right up but they don't have to be programmed with SIP. These 9601 are SIP only and we don't have Session Manager running so that is probably the problem. Is it possible to run a SIP phone without Session Manager?
Sorry that was more of an exploratory question about the IP Office. Here's what is being used. I thought it was CM5.2 like my location but this has been upgraded to Gateway G430
Avaya Communications Manager 6.32
We are trying to get these phones to boot up. Using a G430 Gateway they are all to...
I have some 9601 I am trying to boot up on my CM 5.2.1 The come up and I try to assign an extension with our password (which usually works fine) but I get an error that says "empty SIP proxy server. I have tried to boot them up using H.323 as an option without SIP but still get the same error...
I have an IP Office R8.1 and I can successfully program a Nortel/Avaya 1120E 1140E 1220 1230 etc. They come and work and I can factory default them also using the code and mac address. The 1150E is a bit of a challenge. It tries to connect to the switch but the system .prv reading fails at boot...
I have never connected one of these. I want to login to it and find out what it's configured for along i.e. mailbox and hours of storage. Is this pretty straight forward? Is there a way to use a laptop on it?
I have some of these phones and when I try to reset them it's not working for all of them. On the 1120E and 1140E using the formula **RENEW{mac address}## will reset the phone. Does anyone know how to reset the phones if this doesn't work? The ones that won't reset also won't boot up. Also, is...
I have an IP Office 8.1 and I'm trying to light up several Nortel/Avaya 1120 1140 etc. I have a VCM 32 in this unit but when I plug in a phone I get an error message saying that a cable is unplugged. I have POE and a stand alone power supply but I get the same error either way. Has anyone ran...
I do have the IPO 500 Feature Key Mu-Law. I installed it. I do not get dial tone nor does the CPU LED on the back of the unit light up. I am going to say it is toast. Thank you for the confirmation of the Feature Key functionality.
I have an IP OFFICE IP500 V1. I installed a Feature Key 700417470 thinking that it might help that I have a Phone 1-2 light up an analog set. No sign of life on the card or the phone. Would simply installing the feature key give the system some life or is there some other programming that needs...
I have CS1000 that was pulled from service working and the phones that came with it. I have tried to boot the phones assuming their current configuration matches with the switch. I tried it through a Cisco POE switch with no luck. Now I have the phone with a power brick and cat5 cable plugged...
