I think you could be onto a loser with this one! However, there is one thing you might try - change the ringer.wav file so that it has 10secs of silence at the beginning then has the "ring". In theory, the PC will ring but the headset will be silent until it reaches the actual ring tone.
We...
SimonAT - it would be interesting to know what the 999 operators actually see as the presented CLI given carriers often override any blocking or forced CLI presentation to certain emergency services.
I'd be keen to know how you get on with this as it's made me think about some end-point...
Can you post the a trace, and a status of one of the stations.
Have the users confirmed they've got dialtone on the phone? And if they call you from the phone does it display the expected number? Not sure if you are actually at the location, but wouldn't be the first time users have not...
was referring to the Avaya switch. I "think" it's in the IP-codec set - not in front of a terminal so can't be certain. The other thing in road warrior mode is the LAN speed setting - you need a certain codec for it to work at lower speeds (G729?).
Again, just ideas, and apologies if they lead...
If I'm reading step 3 correctly, you're closed from 17:00 on Monday UNTIL 08:30 on Friday. So, you'd only queue on fri, sat, sun?
If you're using CM4+, look at service tables. Much easier.
Do you have encryption enabled on your switch? Could that be preventing call intialisation? Not sure if IP Agent r2 supports it, and may be why Softphone is working.
Just a thought.
Isn't this what's supposed to happen? If you're on a call and select another line to make a call, the first call goes on Hold. If trace is showing Extension-Out, it suggests the agent is initiating an outbound call while on an existing call. Hence the ACD call would go on hold?
Or am I...
Seen something similar a while back (and never got to the root cause). We couldn't send a file using VAM unless we deleted an old one first through VAM. Almost like the board was being held open preventing write access, and deleting a file effectively closed open connections.
Other than that...
How about a Group Summary Monthly report? Create a group with all agents and sort by agent number. Anything missing = not in use. I guess an export to excel would allow some kind of pivot tables to make it clearer?
Just clarifying my understanding of "barge-in" - any caller would hear what's already being played. So a new caller could come in part way through the message?
Not sure if an Audix bulletin announcement loops automatically?
If you have root access to the box, then you can try killing the process:
who -u to get a list of logged in users
kill xxxx where xxxx is the number after the date (4 digits on my system) of the username you're trying to boot
However, I know we can have multiple logons on an R12 setup - not...
We have done that previously, but this is more for "live" and adhoc things. Something that can just be used rather than needing some advance setup/copies etc.
Assuming you're using a vector to check if the agent is "staffed" and routing from there, could you add something to place a call to an extension, then continue the routing? You'd get a warning almost immediately then?
Hunted around but couldn't find anything so...
Any ideas on how you could dial a number and speak to a group of people who would be able to dial in and listen?
Our thought was: CIO regularly holds an update meeting to the department. Rather than wire him up with mikes and a speaker system, we...
Similar although not exact. We're an IP phone-based site and our problem was the dialler placing dead-air calls to the Ageent. We eventually worked out if the dialler connected to a fax or modem and placed the call through to the agent, it was changing the phone to "data" mode (for want of a...
