VAL Transfer Problem - Can receive but cannot send

S8800 Duplex CM 5.2
TN2501 HW2 FW21

Using VAM I can receive the audio files, but cannot send them. Using FTP I can open the connection to the TN2501, but cannot send the file. I get a error that I cannot send the file.

The board works fine, I was able to back up all the files to my pc. But I cannot put new files onto the board with VAM or FTP. I cannot ping the board.

Seen something similar a while back (and never got to the root cause). We couldn't send a file using VAM unless we deleted an old one first through VAM. Almost like the board was being held open preventing write access, and deleting a file effectively closed open connections.

Other than that, check any firewall software that may be impacting port 21 AND port 20 ( I think this is used for some kind of signalling?)

I cannot even ping the board from the CLAN or procr. "get ethernet 1A06" shows 100/Full and administered properly.

It's aborting 1680 with error code 0. Can't find documentation on 1680 in my CM5 Maintenance Manual.

You must be right about the firewall. I was attempting to go through an Aventail VPN. Went on site this morning and had to use good old fashioned FTP command line to move the files over to the VAL. VAM was timing out because I think the first thing VAM does is try a PING test.

I can't get CLAN's to ping the VAL.
