I messed with the phone some today and can confirm the following behavior:
Inbound calls from outside via PRI to the IP set: No audio either way until hold/de-hold
Outbound calls from IP set via PRI: Perfect audio both ways
IP set to IP set: Perfect audio both ways
IP set to Digital Set: No...
I'm running a 200 ICP MX at a hotel which until now has been all digital and analog sets. I introduced the first IP set (5340) to the system a few weeks ago and have run into a strange issue. The phone worked fine at first - audio was perfect both ways, it rang when it should, MWI worked...
Restricting VM ports sounds like a good idea. Suggestions on how to do that? SX-200_ICP_5.0.2.12 MX
All above passwords have since been changed. Mailbox password was already changed before.
Note that they will need to be able to call toll-free as one of our options transfers to an off-site...
I've been dealing with this all day and figured I'd share with you guys.
Someone was able to get into Express Messenger on our 200 ICP over the weekend. At some point Friday, they got into the admin menu using the technician's password (not changed from default) from the auto attendant and...
Slight correction to my above comment - no one complained, but the conditions listed in my next to last post still stand. No MAC, link is up, no PING, etc. They definitely told me it was working, but I can't see how it could be.
The plot thickens. So I didn't reset it last night (or at all yesterday) when it was working, and magically it's working fine all day today. Don't know when exactly it started working - just know that the housekeepers haven't complained about not being able to put in their rooms.
So everything has worked fine since my last post and out of nowhere it quit today. Haven't reset the system yet so I'm doing some tests.
Can NOT ping the ICP from another device on the network
As expected, no Telnet or Browser sessions into the device
Does NOT show up in ARP table
Switch port...
Though there is a non-Mitel DHCP server on that VLAN, nothing is conflicting. DHCP is disabled on the 200 ICP. It's set to Static and so is the iPocket.
I really think it's something with the controller - I can't think of anything else that would cause it to not show up on the switchport with...
@Waldosworld I would if I could. The controller and iPocket are in separate parts of two different buildings. Only way for them to talk is over the network as it is connected now.
Have a 200 ICP MX running 5.0.2.12 that is, for some reason, dropping off of the network on Sundays. This has happened for at least the last month or so. The system becomes completely unresponsive, but only over the network. I can't telnet into it, and our iPocket connected to the PMS loses...
507: Station/Set: Allow My Number to be Displayed
509: Display Caller ID for non-prime lines
x Display ANI/DNIS/CLASS Information x DISABLED x 502 x
x Display CLASS Name x DISABLED x 503 x
x SS420 Optional CLASS/ANI Display...
I looked and disabled the obvious ones with no luck.
502 - Display ANI/DNIS/CLASS Information - Disabled
503 - Display CLASS Name - Disabled
508 - Station/Set: Show Internal Numbers on My Phone - Disabled
Still shows up.
On a related note, Any reason why MWI wouldn't work on a 5304 using...
Any suggestions for the necessary changes in COS? I went through everything I could find on the 200 ICP related to Caller ID in a test COS and couldn't make the number disappear. Or is that just a 3300 thing?
So I got a demo 5304 from our dealer (we have another property with a 200 ICP MX that I'm testing it with) and my initial thoughts are positive. I do have one concern, though. When you call another guest room from the phone, it shows up with their name. This is less than desirable since so many...
Have any of you guys done IP Phones in hotel guest rooms before? Our management company is opening a new property in a little under two years, and we're considering it as an option.
We'd be using IP wherever possible, with analog only where necessary (elevator phones, fax machines, etc.)...
Can't help you with disabling the notification on the console, but we recently added a 4025 to our 200 ICP that's dedicated to emergency notifications. I know we had to change something in the COS and add an Alarm key to the set. Let me remote into the system. I'll let you know what I find.
I figured as much. I think I'll just stick with the traditional 9 + dial concept. They'll get used to it eventually.
Any tips for hiding the call display on the other phones?
3300 CXi here with 6x LS PSTN lines from Telco plugged into the LS/GS card. System isn't in production yet, so I can tweak whatever.
[Background...can skip to what I want below]
Reception phone had six buttons dedicated one each to the PSTN lines via "Single Line" w/ corresponding LDN for each...
