All,

I have no access to the SX200 Folio files and am not able to get the definitions on a lot of the features in the SX200 AX ICP. Hence, I'm trying to figure out how to change the default emergency call settings. Console's are normally alerted when 911 is dialed in the hotel. A customer wants to have a 5304 IP phone to be the dedicated emergency phone and not the console. I've checked form 19 and found a feature called ONS Notification Number for 911 Calls and Lockouts. Again, no access to Folio files so I'm not sure what this does or if it will help in this situation.

Or...is it simply a matter of disabling Alarm Call in the Console's COS. Creating a new COS just for the 5304, and enabling Alarm Call in it?

Thanks

There's an option in the 600's to make a set an alarm notification point

I'm not sure if you can do this on a 5304

You will need an Emergency Notification key on the phone as well.

I would try this with a 5330 or 5340 before trying the 5304.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

I do not see an option to make a set an alarm notification point in the 600 options. I also searched for the emergency notification key on the 5340e and 5304 but couldn't find a key with that name.

Thanks

I searched the forum for this topic and came across one of my previous threads. smh...
thread1329-1735025

According to that thread, the 600 option you are referring to is 616, Alarm Monitor. I got the part about setting up a new COS for the answer point and programming an Alarm key on the set. Looks like I'll have to test this feature in my lab on Monday morning to see if it'll work.

Can't help you with disabling the notification on the console, but we recently added a 4025 to our 200 ICP that's dedicated to emergency notifications. I know we had to change something in the COS and add an Alarm key to the set. Let me remote into the system. I'll let you know what I find.

the option is 616 "alarm monitor point". it won't work on a 5304, if you have a 5330 or 5340 use one of those, when you add 616 to the cos of the set also program an "alarm" feature to one of the keys.

rossiv, thanks for the offer to remote into my system, but no thanks. I can handle it on my own. Pandabear1, I just came accross another thread in this forum in which you were addressing this same issue with a different user. Thank you all for replying to my thread. I'll get it programmed and see what happens. Much appreciated!

pandabear1, curious, why won't it work on a 5304? What about if I set the device to a 5330e in the system, but use a 5304e?

the docs say no for a 5304 and I tried it anyway and no go. I would stick with a 5330 or 5340, I wouldn't want to take any chances with 911 alarms
