What was the name of the virus it could not remove?
Also in a case like this, it would probably be easier to backup all the necessary stuff (favorites, documents, other relative databases, cookies and any other similar), format and reload from scratch.
Noise how? screeching? clicking? whine? If I was guessing I would say the 14T gear on the fuser is bad. That is the most common gear to wear. Or the gear that drive the upper assy is worn almost through. those 2 are my first guesses.
1. did you change the pickup roller assy? or changed just the roller itself? If so is the roller on backwards Trust me it's easy to do)or is it possibly the clutch on the assy?
2. Clean the separation pad with a dry cloth?
3. Wipe off any impediments on the metal rollers on the registration...
I can ping 192.168.0.29 from that machine but not from other machines on the network. Zone Alarm was uninstalled improperly by the client, reinstalled by me(without the ability to connect to the internet) and uninstalled properly, removing the log files first and verifying they were gone...
Ok first I am not using DHCP but have assigned IP Addresses server and gateway is 192.168.0.1 other stations are varied between 192.168.0.5 and 192.168.0.20 but the one in question has 192.168.0.29. My server firewall has 192.168.0.1 thru 192.168.0.60 as locals and are opened for sharing. DNS is...
A ping command from a dos prompt. I can't even ping the gateway on the next computer, but I can see it through an IPX connection. It has to be a corrupted file somewhere. I have overlayed the windows files and still it won't work with TCP/IP so it's off a full backup of files and a new load, and...
Did you happen to share the C$ drive on the workstation twice with different names? Look under my computer and sharing for a c$ with a down arrow to the right and see if there are more shares than just C$ and pc1.
I had a similar problem booting with NAV 2002 installed on a computer with a Netgear network card. There is a new patch for the cards, I am told. In my situation though I replaced the cards and used them in other systems where they worked fine.
I am having problems getting a computer back to the internet after a client tried to load Norton's Firewall 2003 over NAV 2001 and ZoneAlarm 2.1. I have since reloaded and unloaded properly both Zone Alarm and Norton's Firewall. I have removed and reloaded TCP/IP also. Another problem I had...
Have you been to the zone alarm site? Read about deleting 2 files under your windows/internet logs directories before uninstalling zone alarm. This might be where to start. I have a similar problem but that is where it started also by a client trying to remove zone alarm.
I had a complete windows 98 peer to peer netowrk running fine, sharing access 2000 between 5 computers. When upgrading a computer we decided to go with win2000 on the machine that hosts theinternet access. We have since found out that in a mixed network the win2000 computer must be the access...
Unless you have anything you want on that computer your best bet is to first download on another computer all the IBM Thinkpad files. they are under a matrix for thinkpads and your model number. Then do a clean install and after it is finished, load the new drivers onto the laptop. That is the...
Actually its easier than that. ITs a dell computer. Go to Dell.com and then Support and type in the model number off the back of the computer. Choose your operating system and download the display driver.
