I used to be a regular here almost 10 years ago, but loss of contract/job caused me to not frequent here as much.
Just started a new job/career with Goodwill, saw a 7316 set on the wall, brought back many a fond memory. Then I looked closer and it said "Avaya" on the top. When did AT%T take...
phoneguy427, I checked and it was set to no, changed to yes and it seems to have fixed it.
I wonder how it got set to no when I'm the only one to work on it.
Thank you, again
The person you've called is not available", then the greeting they use for nites plays. F985 is correct. No ACD, only one NAM.
This sounds like the issue when they went to 5.0 and a floppy was needed to fix the NAM (unplug NAM, insert disk, power up and wait for two beeps, power down and...
I have a MICS 4.1XC with a NAM 4.0.04E.
Seems like yesterday calls stopped forwarding to any user's mailbox, it goes to the General Mailbox instead. Transfer to voicemail works ok, nite mode works, just not forward to voicemail. System has been working well for several years.
Ideas?
Check with your telco, make sure that they have "BCAS" testing turned off for the span. October 2005 Qwest did an "upgrade" or something like that, at midnight the C.O. tests the B channnels, causing them to go out of service for outbound calls. I had about 15 or so systems in Phoenix with...
Almost sounds like the carrier is bringing T-1's into a channel bank and breaking them out to analog loop-starts.
Why not get rid of the channel banks and go straight T-1, look at all the real estate the customer would gain in their switch.
For what it's worth, I found it. Had it stashed in some old files:
To restart voicemail IP capability:
Telnet into the voicemail. Password is “calgaryitas”.
Enter “start /min dced.exe –b”.
Exit out.
Voicemail Manager should now work.
Ok, I used to take care of about 24 Norstar MIC's and NAM's, could IP into all the NAM's, had to telnet into a couple of them periodically to restart something so Voicemail manager would work again. I have the telnet password but have forgotten the command to 'restart' it so the Voicemail...
You need it guarded so the line drops when the outside caller hangs up first: the system needs to see the drop in loop current from the CO to drop the line otherwise it will stay busy.
If it's on a PRI check with telco to make sure "BCAS" ( B-channel associatiated signalling) is turned off. It will eventually lock up your span--calls come in ok but not out.
Good point.
That was the purpose of verifying button programming.
I don't think that our users are aware of pushing "Feature" and a code as opposed to pushing the page button.
I've got a MICS 6.1XC, using 2 page zones.
People in zone 2 say that they are occasionally hearing zone 1 pages. We've gone through set programming, both button programming and capabilities, all looks correct.
The users think it happens more during the morning when there is more system traffic...
