I attempted to install a second DSS to receptionist on a MICS 0+32. The numbering transferred to the 2nd DSS and the original was dead. Has anybody any ideas on what I have missed. The book says it is just daisy chained on.

Dellboy16 I think you will find your system uses a super capacitor to maintain memory. Don't know the value or where you would get one. A U.P.S. might be an easier solution.
Page control is an isolated relay contact to turn the paging amp on and off
Paging output is 0.775v approx at600 ohm impedance
Aux ringer is a contact only to operate an external ringer
If the system is set to 600 ohms it should work ok in Aust
You don't say which type of system it is but I know some of them have pad settings to compensate for short and long lines.
