Hi you can't run any command until you mount /usr i.e
you can't run lvexted until you mount /usr even it single user mode.
in sort you can't increase size of it as single user
you have to boot system in lvm mode
Boot your machine in LVM maintenance mode
(hpux -lm at ISL>)
then you will be...
Bring the system in single user mode and change the root password. If it does not allow to it then simple vi the /etc/password file and change this
root::0:3::/:/sbin/sh
See that :: means no password.

As ken says use lpstat -p then if printer is there then use
lpstat -t and you will see the device file and status of printer (enable disable etc...)
Is lpsched is running?
ps -ef |grep lps
If not stopt it start it
lpshut
lpsched
To enable the printer
enable <printername>
Try printing file...
Henrik is right. in win2k server you have to tell who can get thenzone from this server.
I don't know etiher where to click and find that informatin.
Also make suer you do not have any firewall isuee in linux system.

Here are some
1. 'model' will return the processor name; e.g. K570, D390, etc.
2. Match the output from 'uname -m' with /usr/sam/lib/mo/sched.models to find the PA-RISC version of your processor. /usr/sam/lib/mo/sched.models will be as current as your SAM patches.

1. dhcp works without ad
2. Do very simple thing. setup one win2k as dns and dhcp togather with dynamic update.
3. try to bring your test client with dhcp enable.
4. make sure you do not have mycompuer-properties-network identification-properties-more and primary dns suffix of this computer...
Don't know AIX but setup printer in HP system as a local printer if it is directly connected with hp system then
on AIX setup new network printer and point to hpux queue

Very simple.
1. make a list of maps that you are using in nis e.g passwd, ether, netgroup, aliases etc...
2. copy original file from sun to linux system.
3. make a backup copy as well.
4. on linux run ypinit -m to make this sytem a master.
5. remove all map from your secondary linux server
