Yes, I think it is. I have my Network+ cert and while i didn't land any great job with it on my resume, it did prepare me for the MSFT and Cisco Certs I later earned. It is a great way to get your feet wet on Subnetting and other network technology.
Good Luck..

I would take a look at the exams needed to take the MCSA from the XP/2003 platforms and upgrade it to the 7/2008 platform. That would likely get you the biggest bang for your buck.
After that, CCNA is always a nice addition.
Good Luck.

I just did the exact same thing and had the same issue. I contacted Support and let them know what my new Computer specs were, 64bit win7, and they sent me a link to patch/install Crystal XI. WOrked great.

Good Afternoon- Was wondering if anyone here is using Crystal Reports to connect to .QVX files. We have QlikView running for Dashboard type reports, but would like something for Pixel-perfect reports. We feel that Crystal is a great tool for that, but we don't want to have multiple sources of...
I would look at the linking again and check why you have Description linked together on the right. If those are free text fields, you could get unexpected results with many-to-many relationships being created.
That is just what I see.

Have you looked at DBSoftLab.com and checked out Advanced ETL Processor? They have a number of products. Unforunately, none are free, but they are pretty robust and I think they are reasonably priced.

I have never seen that, but I have seen it where there is a blank line or field that CR is looking for and when it can't find it, it stops reading lines. The last time it happened to me, there was blank line that was hidden, so to CR, it looked like the data 'stopped', and it quit reading...
OK, I couldn't wait that long. Just took a look at Freestone's recommendation and found the issue. Not only was the Wireless turned off in the BIOS, but it was also set so that nothing could turn it on. It took me an extra couple of minutes to find that last setting, but it worked like a...
Thanks for the great ideas.
Goombawaho- I know that there are some neighboring signals that I should see. my daughter has the same laptop and she is fine.
rclark250- I'm quite ready to try that yet, but close.
Freestone- Never thought to check that. That is first on the list. Great...
Not sure if this is the right place, Let me know if it is not. I have a Dell D610, XP-Pro laptop that I am working on for someone. The wiFi is messed up on it and this is why I have it. I noticed that the install was very basic, like maybe someone had to re-install windows. Anyway, I have...
Can anyone point me in the direction I should go for some materials on this? I really need to know and understand the trusted Partner end of this. I have a customer that is looking to access a solution that we are deploying for them. This is a website that we will host, completely outside of...
Try to have someone help you with that, like a recruiter or on IT Temp company. See if you can meet up with some Temp firms and recruiters and try to establish a relationship with them, and see if they can help you out. As a Temp, if the employer doens't like your performance, then they can...
Do you know if Microsoft has anything like this? Obviously, there is WSUS, but anything like Belarc?

I have a unique situation and i need some help. I work for a very small company and we are not in a server environment. For security and other reasons, we need to be able to report which machines are patched and updated, and which patches/updates are failed or are missing. Becuase we are not...
I agree with kmcferrin. I'll give you a little tip. Look towards Health Care. I know that hospitals and other health care places are making a big push into technology and hiring like crazy. Not sure how much longer it will last, but check it out.
You should probably be ready to take a job...
The CompTia Certs really only introduced me to the Support industry. I took classes for all of my certs. The classes were self-paced, online courses. The A+ and Network+ were spectacular foundations for the rest of schooling/certifications. Not sure how i would have done in Cisco, had i not...
Have you done a speed test? Maybe your internet connection is just slow. Are you using Wireless? if you have poor internet speed, and using wireless, then you'll be slow. no amount of hardware or software will overcome a slow connection. cdogg has recommended a good test. run your test and...
If you are not going to deploy a BES, then i recommend Windows Mobile or Droid. I have had had a lot of suceess with those. They are easy to manage, i think, and users can typiclly get "what they want" for a phone. I guess it boils down to how they will be used.

This is going to sound really dumb, but it happend to me and it baffled me for a week. Next time the user has this issue, check to see if the text is just white. About a year ago, i was recieving emails into my exhange account from a POP server. no message was there. Just out of frustration...
you may want to go into BIOS and see if you can remove the CD drive from the boot process altogether. i can't recall the configuration off hand, but i have had issues with bad cd drives causing pc's to not boot. once the cd drive was removed and taken out of the boot sequence, it was fine...
