Hi guys,

After browsing and doing some research I've read that not a lot of people actually recommend the CompTIA Net+ cert. As someone who is quite a novice at networking, is this cert a good 'stepping stone' so to speak? In terms of going on to study of other, more in-depth certs like Cisco/Micosoft?

Thanks.

Yes, I think it is. I have my Network+ cert and while i didn't land any great job with it on my resume, it did prepare me for the MSFT and Cisco Certs I later earned. It is a great way to get your feet wet on Subnetting and other network technology.

Good Luck..
