For the life of me, I cannot remember how to change
the extension number in the system that we can use
to re-record outgoing messages.
Our main number's recording needs to be updated and
although we have tried to listen and record the message
by using the phone option rather than computer...
This happened to me once and it turned out to be the cd/dvd burning software. Name slips my mind but it sure drove us crazy for days.
Perhaps you may want to uninstall it, check optical drive status then re-install burning software?
Roger,
Although the COA may be genuine, the OS that was intalled in the unit may likely not be (emphasis on likely).
None the less, call Microsoft and explain and they may give you a fix as I have heard they've done in the past with similar problems.
Otherwise, back to square one with a...
I recommend you get yourself a test hard drive (got mine for $10. It doesn't have to be large capacity, just large enough for the XP install - mine was a mere 20GB.
Swap the drives, drop XP in, check DevMgr and go from there.
Once you have everything and it all looks good and you're...

What about the number of licenses?
Also, have you tried just rebooting the server? that's what works for us - sure it takes like 40 minutes to recover but usually that fixes our problems.
Couple of days ago, it wouldn't put out the new time in the morning. We decided we would reboot at about...
