Well I been having some problems with my usb ports recently. Everytime I plug a flash drive into one of the ports and try to open it I get this error. F:/ is not accessible, The Request could not be performed becuase of an I/Q device error. Im not sure how to fix it, it just started out of nowhere giving me that error a few days ago. I tried all 5 of my slots and nothing. Anyone have an idea of what the problem could be.

You can spend a lot of time diagnosing faults like this. Re-installing drivers and such.

Have you tried that flash drive in another PC to check it isn't the drive that has failed? Have you tried more than one flash drive in that PC? If you are sure it isn't a problem with the drive then....

It could be caused by anything from hardware, something you have done, such as installing a new program, to malware of some kind.

As it was only 5 days ago I would advise you to make a restore point now, so you can return if needs be and then go back to a restore point set when it was all working. If that fixes the problem then I would make a new restore point and proceed from there. If that doesn't fix it then you could try an earlier restore point. But the fact you went back to a time when it worked kind of points to hardware.

I would also do rigorous anti Malware scans.

is F:\ not [F:/]always there or only when the drive is inserted?
if you run diskmgmt.msc is it there? and maybe format it.
if you delete all USB from devmgmt.msc and reinstall, does that help?

I reinstalled the drivers and did a malware search but still nothing. The flash drive works in my laptop and my moms pc and I have tried another flash in my pc and it coudnt open it as well. Going back in time didnt fix it either. No the Drives not always labeled F:\ it changes when I insert it into a difirent slot. I formatted the stick and i can copy things to it but it takes forever for it to open and to delete files on it. Its one of those sandisk flash drives with a program thats sopose to open in your taskbar but it doesnt on my pc. So my Usb drives basically wont le me open anything.

What happens if you delete the USB controller in Device Manager and do a rescan for new hardware? Sounds like a controller issue of some sorts (I had the same thing with an old Asus board that worked fine except the USB). If I were you I would get a cheap USB controller just to be on the safe side.
