We have a Win 2000 server with Backup Exec 11d installed where we want to push the remote agent out to another Win 2000 server that is the domain controller.
From Backup Exec Tools we get to choose the system we want to add as the remote computer but that is where things stop. The hourglass spins but nothing else happens. I left it for 1/2 hour and then cancelled.
Any ideas?
There is lots of room on the domain controller.
We did have Backup Exec version 8.5 with a remote agent running on this combination of machines. We were updating after the death of the tape drive to a removeable hard disk style of backup.
Is there a removal procedure for the old agent that might be the problem?
