I am trying to evaluate multiple ingress gatways to perform TDM to IP conversion. Has anyone looked at gateways other then Cisco, that can terminate DS3 capacity, and has the ability to convert to IP via DSP's? We basically are looking as an interm step bringing traffic to the gateway as TDM...
Yes, depends on what the transcoders were meant for. We had somewhat a similar situation where we used transcoders for Unity since we send calls over the WAN as G.729. What we didnt realize is that there was a registry setting to enforce an external transcoder. So basically the app server was...
I've installed freeftpd server in order to configure Disaster recovery in 5.1. Once I start the sftp server and try to connect I get disconnected right away. Here is the output from the sftp log:
12-07-2007 10:40:38 IP x.x.x.30 SFTP connection attempt
12-07-2007 10:40:38 IP x.x.x.30 SFTP cups...
Here is an update of some more troubleshooting. First we are using Cisco IPT. The circuits go into a 3845 router. We put a hard loop on the router interface and the circuit shows up. We move the hard loop into the first patch panel and the circuit shows down and doesnt come up, BUT if we...
We have a new PRI thats giving a dead air effect. Telco has looped to the NIU and can send and receive echo's successfully. I can also send tone from our Router to the phone successfully. But when a call is made from phone to pstn, no voice traffic gets passed but call setup messaging occurs...
The clocking checks out ok. Here is the latest from testing. The carrier can loop to the NIU and can receive echo replies ok. When we have a call up, I can inject tone from the router towards the network and can hear the tone on an IP phone. If I try to inject the tone towards the carrier it...
I recently setup 7 clusters for CDR and there are only a few settings as you know. All subs need to have the CDR Enabled Flag set to true under service parameters for callmanager. Also, the CDR insert service should only be running on the pub. Then make sure the enterprise parameters are set...
We setup additional route patterns beginning with 9*67. and set the Calling Line ID Presentation and the Calling Name Presentation on the calling party to restricted. So basically you would have a 9.1555XXXXXXX (for normal calls to whatever area code), and a 9*67.1555XXXXXXX so that users could...
We just turned up two PRI's with our carrier that go to seperate 3845 cisco gateways. We are getting dead air on all test calls on both circuits. So far we have captured the voice sessions from the DSP's and decoded to wave file. We can hear the R-in stream from Unity in the recordings, but...
You might have already figured this out, but you should restart the TAI service after hours since it will log out all agents when reset. I have seen this issue twice and both times it was when I added an additional license file and it only affected phone agents not CAD users. So a workaround...
We have a security desk that currently has one button that basically conferences in 911 with the caller. So instead of hitting conference, dialing the number, and conference again, this one button does all three (I think on the Siemens platform). With Cisco I would have to imagine this could...
Within the Unity tools depot you have the call viewer application under the Switch integration tools. It will actually show the actual call and how it is being presented to Unity. Then just put that number in the alternate extension field.
When a user enters an offnet number in the call forward all setting (ex. 9,XXX-XXXX) is there a way for CCM to supervise that forward and come back to vm if the off site PSTN number does not answer or is busy? Or is it that once you release a call to your trunks the call can not be controlled by...
What about trying a call handler with option 1 going to another call handler that had no greeting and input 2 was set to the group you wanted. That way they are pressing 12 for that group. Only problem I can see is the timing of the inputs, and if someone dials 12 fast would it get to the...
The not found is probably because the route points have not registered. Make sure you have added those route points to the ipccjtapi user account, or whatever your jtapi provider user account is.
I ended up making a line group with the three phones, and then creating a route list, with the line group first, then the voice mail line group next. So it hunts through the first three people then goes to the next group, which is unity, and it sends the call to Unity, were I have a routing...
Could I also setup a pilot/hunt group and put that DN in the call no answer field? and if so will it go back to the vm on the orginal phone if no one in the hunt picks up?
How can you have multiple forward no answer (coverage points) with Cisco without effecting the forward no answer points of the phones involved?
Example: Phone 1 is called but no one answers, so then it goes to phone 2 no answer, then it tries phone 3, then back to vm on phone 1. But when...
Check under System/Enterprise Parameters, and scroll down to Phone URL paramaters. Try replacing the server name with the IP address of the publisher server. Sometimes its a DNS issue if your DNS server doesn't know about the callmanager server.
