Call Handler Options

I'm runnig unity 4.0.4. I was wondering if you can have more than 9 dialing options input. We are trying to setup around 14 different options. In other words if a person calls and they want to access a specific deparment the can select the department by pressing the number that corresponds to it. We have 14 different egencies, so of course it will go over 9.

I ran into this with some voice prompt systems I have, I needed over 20 options (long story as to why).

You can't have more than 9 digit options plus # and * on a given call handler (total of 11 Caller Input options). What you will have to do is chain call handlers together so you can get more than 11 options.

So, on the greeting of your first call handler, you can say, "Press star to hear more options." On the Caller Input page of that first call handler, set the star key to go to the greeting of the next call handler, then continue the options on that call handler. Clear as mud?

That's the only way I know of to do what you're planning...

What about trying a call handler with option 1 going to another call handler that had no greeting and input 2 was set to the group you wanted. That way they are pressing 12 for that group. Only problem I can see is the timing of the inputs, and if someone dials 12 fast would it get to the second call handler.

I believe Unity 4.05 will allow you to change the timeout values between the entered digits. This may make the last suggestion feasable. You may have to play with them to see. This is new in 4.05 so 4.04 doesn't have it.
