Thanks to all who replied. I have the Spy Remover and run it and it says that I don't have any spyware in my system. The ISP1 is just an example and not the exact ISP name that I always dial. Yes this is the connection that I always dial. I only use the XP dialer when you configure your...
Thanks jdemmi but it is still happening. I even selected "Never dial a connection" but still the dialing popup window keeps on appearing. I tried to look in the services.msi but no luck. Need help.
I have an annoying popup window from my dialup connection. I am using Windows XP Pro SP1 and have a Xircom network and a modem in one PCMCIA card. When at work, I use my laptop though our network and when at home or in cafe, I use the dialup modem. When using the LAN in the office, this...

I must add to what DWalrus and BlinkingLeaf had already mentioned, if you have an experience in electronics repair and stuff like that, you will be fine. Except that Notebooks and Laptops are to be treated differently. Use the right tool for the right screws(job). I've seen a technician (I...
There's a book by QUE entitled "Upgrading and Repairing Laptop Computers" and is available in Amazon.com. It should help you out in some problems but not all. I have this book and it helped me a lot.

Yes you have to do that if you want which stick is faulty. I suggest you stick them both first then test. If you get errors, remove one then test. You should be able to find which one is the culprit. Good luck.
Thanks Lemon13

I was wondering if it is possible to use a Digital Video Camera as a storage media. I once heard the idea at TechTV but forgot what episode. Tried to search it on their site but with no avail. Any help will be appreciated.

Testing your memory stick with the Memtest86 takes sometime up to 5 or more hours depending on your system speed. Since you have gone to their website (http://www.memtest86.com) you should read the whole page as it tells you some online commands to tailor your testing. But basically, ones you...
Give it a try. But I suggest that you test it with the memtest I told you. It's easier to test that way rather than booting windows, click here click there and wait for it to happen. The memtest will tell you right away if there's a problem on the stick. I am sure it is a mem stick that is...

There are two output formats for the CIL, TBCD or ASCII. You can set either which one you want by a system parameter CILTB. And yes, it is in realtime. I am not familiar with 8.0 revision but from 6.0 to 7.1, I don't think there were any differences. The only thing I know is that the higher...
