yes they are having problems!
I am running software update server and it is telling me that last night i mean this morning that it has downloaded with errors and that the casue was time ouit errors
go to your server that is running terminal servers and run the local security policy in the local pl=olices you will find a setting that will stop the clients from being able to shut down the system

also what does pathping or tracert tell you about how you get out of the net from ypur dns server of clients?
also do you have recurrison enabled or disabled in your dns server?

i just duplicated your problem and i found out that you have to tell the win98 computers that the host name for dns is server1 and the domain name is your (domain name) also in the indentification tab name your workgroup the same as your (domain name)

In order for your Win98 clients to be able use your active directory you need to install the Directory service client (dsclient.exe) that ships on the server CD. You find it in the \clients\win9x folder. This should fix your problem and allow you to browse your active directory.

I have had the same problem before! I solved it be reomving the workstation from the domain into a workgroup, and then rejoining the workstation to the domain. i beleive that it is a kerebros token issue.
