I would suggest setting the extensions to delayed ring versus no ring. If your ports are busy or the v-mail is down and the extensions don't ring you will get ring no answer until someone figures it out.
You will find a common theme to most of the suggestions your receive - the vendor you choose is more important than the system, assuming that the system meets all of your needs and fututre plans. Call several local vendors and let the chips fall where they may. By the way - where are you located??
Went back to original power supply on a temporary basis and problem cleared for a period of time - it is now happening on internal calls as well, several calls from extensions associated with one of the 012 cards are going bad. Basically we have had the intermittent dropping of calls with two...
OK - we swapped out the power supply (A2) with an (A3) and ran into 2 things - first is same problem seems to happen with system losing power- second is all of the analog ports stopped ringing - are there ring generators in the power supply that are needed for the older 012 cards???
I have done several multi-site installations with ESI equipment. The IVX E or X series are digital systems that accept an expansion card to add IP capabilities. That way you have stand alone, independently functioning systems at each site yet have a tight integration between the sites. You can...
Prospective customer who called in today has an older merlin system and wants to hook up a paging speaker - can i just get a paging control unit such as valcom and go right to an open CO port??
All of the displays go dead - customer is almost an hour away so we have been doing some troubleshooting over the phone so far - it has happened when callers were on line 1 as well as line 2, we plugged a clock into the same block of outlets and it did not lose power during the last occurrence...
It is the entire system - it also seems to be happening more frequently now as well. The voice mail is in cabinet 2 so he is going to log into voice mail immediately next time it happens to see if it stayed up - that would seem to nail it down to the power supply in cabinet 1??
Customer has an R7 Legend with approximately 60 phones - Over the past week they have had several instances where the system appeared to go dead and the call in progress was lost. All AC plugs/cords are tight - any thoughts???
Took a call today from a prospective new customer today. They have a Magix R1.5 and have been experiencing problems ever since they cutover T1 to new vendor. Symptoms they describe include phones in calling groups not ringing properly, cover buttons not working, headset buttons not working and...
The Partner is a tremendously reliable system - only reason you see so many bad modules is the sheer number of them installed - the percentage rate of failure is tiny and among the best of any systemon the market
If you are going to have to buy a newer processor version, possibly a power supply, MLX cards and phones you should probably consider buying a little Partner system instead - you will find it easier to program and support!!.
My experience with Vonage has been fair - off hours it is great - at 4 pm when the kids get off school and clog the internet it is poor - savings isn't all that great since the ILEC is now offering flat rate service for about $20 per month more with much greater reliability
We are talking to a customer who has 2 sites, Magix 1.5 in one and Magix 2.0 in the second - they are networked with a point to point T1 that i believe is being used for both voice and data between the sites (cisco 11720's at each site). Each system has 3 or 4 analog lines into 412 TDL cards and...
