I need to run 100Gb between 2 cages in a datacenter.
I think I want to use a cable terminated with method A between the cages and then a method A patch on one side and a method B on the other.
Do I have this correct?
Thanks
Upgrading your MiCollab server to 7.1.0.55 fixes this problem. No need to mess with undoing windows updates or making registry keys. If you have an MBG acting as a proxy that is version 9.0.x it'll need an update also. 9.2.0.23 works for me.
Figured it out, Personal Ring Group.
Define your mobile as a EHDU and put it in a personal ring group. When placing the call using the UCA on your mobile select your mobile when prompted as to where to place the call from.
PBX calls your mobile, you press a key to acknowledge, then it...
Five years ago when we installed our 3300 I seem to remember playing with a feature that allowed a UCA mobile client to place a call from the PBX and have it conference in your Mobile. We didn't have any use for it then but now I have after hours support people that need to call parties in other...
...private keys are RSA to Mitel support's liking. I learned this before with our MBG and softphones. The output of "grep BEGIN /home/e-smith/ssl*/*"
includes "/vmas.mycompany.com.key:-----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----".
Incidently my EMEA server's name initially didn't match the certificate...
It doesn't consume a Teleworker license on the MBG either, so long as the UCA profile has no Softphone at all. If you have one, even the different DN, it will consume. The MBG event log showed my softphone pseudo MAC even when I was using a different 'dummy' DN. Once I removed the softphone...
Thank you very much, adding the MiNet device on the MBG was the clue I needed. a1:21:00:00:##:## I didn't think I needed that because I didn't want the softphone. Works like a charm.
Presence changes are readable. Chat is not readable raw but I have no assurance that it can't be decrypted/decoded. The fact that the Teleworker mode is encrypted and fronted by the MBG leads me to believe that I have vulnerabilities exposing my MAS server to the Internet.
VPN is an...
Is there a way to run the UCA client (5.0) in a secure manner (Teleworker) without configuring a softphone? I have several people with physical phones in their homes. In order to get these people working with the UCA remotely our vendor told us to allow direct access across the internet to our...
When you 'pointed' the phone at your MBG did you do so by holding the 7 key at boot up and entering your MBG IP address?. Once booted and attached to the MBG you then enter the TW install password, or you manually enter the MAC on your MBG. And then it 'just works'. You shouldn't need to port...
We had the exact same problem, UCA in teleworker mode via the MBG would appear to connect then disconnect with a 'reconnecting in 5 minutes' message. This was on an installation that had been running fine for a year. The UCA client log file was showing an error with the certificate. Our...
I found my answer on the internal product brief. Looks like this feature is for Hot Desking in/out of Desk phones.
HOTDESKING SUPPORT
UCA 5.1 is delivering support for a user to log-in and out from their MCD phone by using the UCA client. You no longer need to manually log yourself into your...
Statements in the Documentation say that you can Hot Desk with the UCA 5.1 client but I am unable figure out how to configure or do it. Can anybody point me in the right direction. I thought this was goign to be the ability for a Softphone to be used as a Hot Desk device. But the more that...
I cannot figure out how to publish a recorded web conference on my MCA server.
I am able to record at conference and have it saved as an .lrec file on my local computer. It is getting it uploaded to the MCA server and published that has me confused. I can upload the recording into another...
I want to add a softphone to an existing user in my UCA. The softphone field is greyed out. Is there any way around this without deleting and recreating the users UCA account?
It could be that your DHCP table is corrupted. We had a problem with ours a while ago. It was giving out overlapping addresses, addresses not in its range and reported a greater number of free addresses than were configured in its scope. I did a export, which was not corrupt, deleted the...
I have a w2k domain controller that I would like to gracefully retire. All the I'm ready to run DCPromo->Demote on it. One question I have is what to expect to happen to the DNS server on it. Does it stay installed and untouched as an active directory intergrated DNS server?
Thanks in...
