Probably not as important as the bucks. But I'm thinking an IP office system would be over $3K, and either Meridian or Partner is half that. I'll have to check on that.
Those phones are worn out. I do have a few new ones that are a different model and did't seem to work probably a year ago when I tried one, but possibly that's because they are a little different model and they need a power brick. Is that likely? or is it possible they're digital sets (I doubt...
Wow, I can't believe I'm doing this. I've read all of the comments from Bzbee bout his system and need just a little help refining some of the recommendations.
The situation is this: Small church with old phone (and possibly sick) Nortel Meridian system, has just built a gym with classrooms...
Go to the emulation screen and type "lis trace sta xxxx" for station xxxx which is ringing. Then watch and see who is ringing in.
Might be interesting.
Several ways to do this. This is one way:
First thing to do is display all of those extensions and make note of the port each station is on now.
Then change all of the ports to x.
Then change the port of the station to the port of the station that used to be at the new location.
Next you can...
We go to analog phones because the VoIP phones are so expensive and they have away of running off when the patient checks out. Some hospitals even throw them out for sanitation purposes. Office moves can be a little more tricky than VoIP, mut not always. If the new locatiion is hot, just enter...

I am trying to figure out how to make changes to incoming call handling on my IP Office system with Voicemail Pro.
Currently when a call comes in it goes to the attendant.
That's a little puzzling to me since the way I read it incoming calls should go to a short code for voice...
Not familiar with Mitel,
I'll check into that, thanks.
Seems to me digital is a bargain and in my case probably just as good.
What does an IP phone have over a Digital phone. I doubt there's very much, but again I may not be looking at this with an open eye.
Actually when we get our new system...
Actually we are pretty flexible. Our infrastructure for digital is in place.
All else being equal, only 25 or so phones would have need for VoIP within 5 years.
I like digital from the standpoint of not needing to go to POE switches with all to associated heat to contend with in my data...
We are looking into a new phone system. Avaya is using strong arm tactics which have me thinking 'anything but Avaya'.
I have spent the last few months telling folks to stay with Avaya to give us flexibility (I'm a small fish in an IT department). Now I'm on the other side.
From what I've read...
I had this as well, recently. Ringing on hanging up. Seems like it was a real simple fix having to do with voice mail settings, but I can't quite remember. I'll check my notes and get back.
We're a 5 story hospital with connected outlying buildings.
What we do is label like this C02A-011, where C is computer, 02 is floor A is the cabinet and 011 is the drop into that cabinet. Voice is similary labeled like this V02A-011. We use the ethernet cabinet as a identifier for the room...
