I have second customer, whose analog phone is ringing non stop. When they pickup hook, they hear nothing. What can cause this problem to occur? Busyout, release? Recreate extension seems doesn,t help.

Go to the emulation screen and type "lis trace sta xxxx" for station xxxx which is ringing. Then watch and see who is ringing in.
Might be interesting.

Does this analog phone actually have an extension assigned to it?

Could it be that this phone is just being used for alerting for calls waiting in a queue?

If the phone does not have an extension associated with it, find out what port it is connected to, then check page 1 of your hunt groups for that port under the Call Warning Threshold or Time Waiting Threshold. When these are breached, the phone system sends ring voltage over the port. It's not an actual call, just voltage on the line to make the phone ring, so when you answer it, there's no one there. It will continue to ring until the threshold is no longer being breached.

At my last company we set up a dummy hunt group with a threshold of 1 call queued.

Then we used it if someone logged into the emergency shut down skill or if one of our IVR Ports RONAed, we would queue the call to the dummy hunt group and then process it as we normally would. This would cause 1 call (or more) to queue to the dummy skill and ring the phone to alert us.

stalker,

What about moving the extension to another analog port?

It seems problem has dissapeared itself. I didn't see anything on a trace.
