I’ve noticed some newer Cisco phone systems that perform overhead pages announce a single dial tone burst at the end of the page, the moment the page disconnects either by hanging up he handset or pressing end call.
Is this a Cisco function? The same retail store used the same sound system...
Hello there, anyone have an ether grey i2000 KEM they are willing to part with? I have one that is now starting to show blotches of LCD spots.
Also, is it possible to take a mint charcoal KEM i2000 unit and simply swap out the casing with the ether grey one? In other words I’d take the...
So all of the Safeway stores have Call Pilot Joan Kenley saying different departments such as Meat Department, etc. The only connection I can see is that she is from Oakland and Safeway is Nearby and they had her record them.

My favorite thing on the M2616, the perfectly placed RLS button in the Red Color. Sounds stupid I know, but it was a great button, perfectly placed kind of off center, to release calls and overhead pages.

The only reason I'd stay with them is that I love the 1100 and 1200 series IP Phones. It's hard to find an IP Phone that looks as good as those on a desk, just my honest opinion. I hate waste, and I hate that instead of maintaining those 1100 and 1200 series phones, Avaya is convincing owners...
I am curious, why is it that most places such as hospitals with 1100 and 1200 series IP phones upgrade to the Avaya side, they aren't carrying over their 1100 and 1200 Unistim IP Phones? I personally think it's a waste of investment to throw these sets away, as they are quite beautiful sets...
And yes, since the phone doesn't use a backlight display, you don't need a power adapter to run the KEM's...at least for one or two, maybe UCxguy knows for sure on a larger amount of KEM's installed.

I know it sounds petty, but the look of the 12 button set is much better in my opinion. You don't have to worry about paper labels and the module just looks better. I've set two up on my UCx, it's a breeze, just like UCxguy described.

Still pretty sad to hear this, the Nortel product is definitely far superior to the Avaya product. I cannot fathom all of those Nortel ring tones replaced with those bland awful 8 warble ring tones that originated from 1983 with the Merlin System and the System 75. Single tone, Up down, Up down...
I've tried the 1100 SIP phones out on my IP Office and I am just not satisfied with Avaya's SIP version of running these phones....
gone are the choices between 3 different key clicks....aka silence, short click or DTMF tone.
gone are a double ring for external calls and single ring for...
Thank you Sarond, that TFTP service worked wonderfully, now I have the lovely new Mitel white screen.

It makes me sad to see most of these CS1000 systems not being pulled out and replaced with Avaya, but instead Cisco. Hell Aastra Mitel makes a good product too.

Yes, Avaya has discontinued the CS1000, but E-MetroTel has used their same team who developed CS1000 at Nortel to develop the UCx1000, so it is still alive in essence. The features work the same way, if not even better than they did on CS1000, especially with the Nortel Unistim IP phones and...
I am using Pumpkin TFTP. Do you have another one you'd recommend that I should try out? I have successfully upgraded Nortel IP phones using Pumpkin, but maybe Aastra sets are a little different. Thank you.

Hey Mitel Aastra fans,
I have a 6869i SIP set with a manufacture date of 2014. I am trying to upgrade the firmware using a TFTP server and keep receiving the following error message:
"File is too big, try increasing block size."
The oldest firmware on Mitel's website is dated 2016, so maybe...
OH Zstic78 and Joesims, since E-MetroTel offers a hosted CS1000 identical replacement, you could look into that option too. If you have Nortel IP phones now and you can keep them on the hosted system and not have to buy new telephones. Nortel digital sets will work on hosted as well.
