KCFLHTK, If I just dial x2901, I get the Front Desk no problem and can talk to them. That's correct, dialing x2901 dials and calls the 2250 console at the FD. ATDN stands for what again?

Not necessarily. If I am sitting at my desk in my office, I pick up the phone and call another associate, then transfer them over to the Front Desk, it still occurs. We thought at first it might be ACD related since our switchboard operate has an ACD phone set up.

We did some configuration changes two weeks ago and now somebody has noticed this problem. The goal is to have our Switchboard operator act as the "Front Desk" for both hotels to avoid so many calls coming into our BW desk when the agent is by themself and trying to do check-ins, etc.
If I am...
Let me just add too that its not guests trying to transfer (they cannot). The only time this happens is when employees try to transfer which again is on digital sets.

Yes we actually do use 0 for the attendant console. Here's the scoop, we have two hotels (same owner) joined together and we use one phone system. So whenever people around the hotel (employees) or guests in our hotel dial 0, it goes to our main hotel switchboard operator. The 2nd hotel and...
Hi KCFLHTK,
Sorry, yes the attendant console we are trying to transfer too is a 2250. The Switchboard phone in which teh calls gets redirected to is a M3905.

Hello all,
Here's the situation. In our hotel, from any phone, we can dial the extension of our attendant console phone and we would get the front desk agent. However, if I am on the phone with somebody and I try and transfer the call to the attendant console, it somehow loops back to our...

Hi All,
A couple of days ago, my agent reported that she was "logged out" of her ACD phone (x2511) and now we can't log back in. They are using the backup ACD (x2517) right now. Normally to log in to the phone we would press the button that shows the extension, the screen would display "Enter...
Hi All,
Bare with me, I'm no expert on my phone system here.
Yesterday our phone system went down, couldn't make any outgoing calls or couldnt receive incoming. Just got a fast busy signal. Called Bell and they came on site. Problem was our PRI 1 was down (23 talk channels plus one...
HI all,
I was planning on the studying for my next certification, MCSA. I wanted to know what the LATEST MSCA book was out there. I checked Amazon and the latest ones published were about 2006. I was wondering if this would be sufficient enough to cover what I need to know and pass the...
Hi All,
I just recently passed my Network+ exam and I want to resume studying after Christmas. I think I am going to do CompTIA Server+ exam, and then be done with CompTIA. After that, I would like to probably move onto MCP or MCSA and especially MCSA since A+ and Network+ (I have A+ also)...
Thanks for all the advice guys.

Thanks for the advice so far guys. I've got 5 more days of studying and I want to know which topics to really zone in on. I know subnetting is a big part of networking. How much of the exam covered knowing subnetting down to a tee?
I expected that they would want you to ensure you know the...
