Hello
We are having this exact problem. I am currently working with our Provider, Nortel Professional Services , A Sr. Nortel Technical Support Engineer, the developper that designed the TFA servics and finally we plan to get someone in Nortel who knows about Databases. As mte0910 mentioned you...
Hello John
We have replaced Call Pilot however we are looking to upgrade it to the latest version also we need to migratee to Symposium 5 however I heard Symposium 6 is out soon. So I need to list the priorites for these upgrades and explain to management why they need to be done. I think RLS...
Thanks very much for these replies I will add this to the list so I can hopefully convince management to set asidde some budget for this upgrade

Hello All
We have an Option 61c with RLS 25.4. We are debating if we should upgrade to RLS 4.5. I scoured to net a bit but was unable to find the benefits of this upgrade. Has anyone else done this and if so what are the benefits of this as it's expensive to upgrade.
Thanks for your input on...
Hello
I wanted to copy a CDN but it still doesn't work. So here is the exact problem I'm trying to overcome. Essentially we have a DDI mapped to a CDN. That CDN should go directly to voicemail menus but instead it is going to a default ACD queue however when I try to make the DFDN the voicemail...
Hello All
Sorry my memory is shot and I can't remember if it's possible to copy a CDN from an existing CDN. What I'm trying to do is have a CDN point ot voicemail in call pilot. I realise I can create a CDN in LD 23.
and that I can even prt in LD 20. But there seems to be one step I'm missing...

Hello Dan
Lets say I have 2 CLID entries 1 and 2.
To assign a specific entry to a key on a phone I would
do a key 0 scr 1 for CLID entry 1?
Thanks for your input
Mark
Hello
Thanks very much John and Hasago. I will try this today. Sorry I didn't reply sooner. What is strange is that I got one of the phones block the caller ID but only half the time. It seems that when they call certain numbers the iD iis blocked however with others it shows up. Not sure why...
OK sorry I realise this is a CLID question. However I don't know how to assign a specific DN to a CLID entry that would block to outgoing display as not all phones need to have their ID blocked just two. Once again thanks to all for any inpu on this in advance
Kind Regards

Hello
I was wondering what changes I would have to make on this setup to mask the number when a user is dailing out.. This is so none of our clients is able to determine where the call is coming from. Thanks for any feedback on this

Apparently according to our vendor you can create an ODBC link to a database without going through the HDX anymore as this service is included in the Symposium 5 platform.
Originally we would have our HDX get a request from a database at another site and this request was read by the TFA service...
Hello
Just as an update we are going to upgrade to Symposium 5.0 so that we will no longer need our HDX machine.
Thanks again to all who have given their fedback
Kind Regards
Mark
Thanks John
I'll try this as well. I also think that these problems seemed to have occured after we installed MS and Nortel security patches but I'm not sure it's a good idea to role back on these patches as they covered specific security holes. Thanks again for this info I'll try whatever I can...
Thanks for this info. I'll try that next time was there any particular order that you restarted the services? When I stopped the TFA it wouldn't stop but maybe it needed the other service s to stop first. Anyway thanks for this I'll post again as to the outcome.
Hello All
Currently we have a setup in our company that has 2 SCCS at
separate sites coupled with an HDX at each site. However one site also has a databse that both HDXs point to. When the network goes down briefly or the database is rebooted for maintenance both the symposium and the HDX have...
