Hi Guys,
Yes it is a sip client to the Mitel. I use the E49H. They are in an environment that is hard on phones, so they are alot cheaper to replace than the Mitel handsets.
I have not contacted Mitel support, I doubt they will assist as it is not a Mitel related issue. I am sure the issue is...
Hi all,
I have a customer where we installed IP Dect with Gigasets as the preferred handset. The gigasets register and make calls fine but will not handover when moving to a different base station.
After a lot of research, it seems that the devices need to be both GAP and CAP compliant to...
Hi all,
I have a site with 8 RFP 32 IP dect base stations. The customer is extending into an adjacent building and wants to extend the base station range. However we are unable to source more base stations from Mitel due to end of life.
I know these are still widely used on other systems and...
...you look at the section where you can edit the offline settings.
I can't remember exactly but I searched for ages under COS with no outcome.
Someone here told me to look under the offline settings and there are more options and I am sure you will find one to change the behavior of *.

Hi mitel15,
I assume you mean on external calls? Have you tried digit substitution?
You will tell the system to replace range 1000-1999 with 024 444 XXXX.
It works very well with pri's and should weth sip trunks.

Got it working. The issue was on the Lync side.
Thanks LoopyLou I have access to MOL and wireshark but most of this has been set up remotely. I am comfortable with SIP and have a pretty good feeling for where the issue lies. Next stage would have been a wireshark trace on site.
Wrt training...
Thanks guys.
I appreciate the help. I have setup the LBG and it works perfectly. It is not what the customer requires. So I have begun setting up the SIP trunks.
I just cannot get it to work. I have followed the document I found on the knowledge base but am still battling. The link is...
Hello and a happy new year to all.
I have installed LBG at a customer, and as far as I can figure out, I have it working correctly. From the Lync client, if I dial a number it dials the digits on the Mitel phone. And if I receive a call, I can answer on Lync and the Mitel phone will answer it...
Hi all,
I have a site with Nu-point and they require the caller to have the option to dial 0 (or another number) to get the the operator if the caller does not want to leave a message.
I have tried various options in the FCOS but none of them will play the automated greeting when checked.
The...
1. Check that your extension is being forwarded to the same voicemail huntgroup as an extension that works. You said your mail box so I am assuming there are extensions that work.
2. Have you tried to use the feature access code? Under system settings look for feature access codes and look for...
Thanks for all the help guys. I have it working. I am using SIP and have used an entry for the SVP server. I used an external TFTP server and updated the phone firmware using that. After the update I kept the static details and added the phone specific extension file. It appears to be using an...
Go to the users extension details, go to the key tab and configure a key as headset. On the device press the headset key. When the light is on, the headset will be used and not the handset.

Yes I have it on type 36. The phone boots up checks for firmware updates and the resets and displays no SVP response. Is there a way to disable the SVP?
Ian
Thanks Bobcheese. Yes they are in SIP mode. I think the phone still wants to see an SVP server. That is my issue. The AP's are old and so not able to use the multimedia mode. I have created the config files but they don't get past the SVP server to even try connect. I am back on site tommorrow...
An update. The 8020 came with non-sip firmware. I have updated the firmware and now I see the static entries for SVP and Sip accounts.
I have been told that the SVP that I have and the 8020 handsets are not compattible. I should be looking for something to run on the controller itself.
Any...
