    BCM 400 analog stations

Or if you have a spare digital port on a DSM you can use an ATA-2. On a 400 you don't need a keycode. On a 50 you do need a keycode (either expansion port keycode or a per port basis on the main unit)

Can't log into system through phone. Telnet programming works.

Hi, I had a customer with similar issue albeit over VPN, locally it was fine. firebird's suggestion looks good, just bear in mind not all the cartridges are neceesarily on the Avaya web site, so post the exact name and I/we can check if I have it. Regards Paul

Is there any mechanism to force firmware onto an Avaya 1608 which is in a reboot loop?

Hi thanks for the feedback. No one disconnected it during a firmware change. It was 1.343A. Not sure why it's gone faulty, however thanks for confirming it's toast and there isn't a method of forcing the firmware on in this condition. Regards Paul

Is there any mechanism to force firmware onto an Avaya 1608 which is in a reboot loop?

Nada, it's just rebooting. There's no indication on the phone display that it's tryng to load any other files such as 16xxupgrade.txt or 46xxsettings.txt. Wierd. Is the phone toast or there any option to force firmware onto the phone / repair it? Thanks. regards Paul

Is there any mechanism to force firmware onto an Avaya 1608 which is in a reboot loop?

Hi, having done a MUTE+CRAFT+CLEAR, I'm not sure how or why however there is no option to configure the phone after the phone restarted. It's stuck in 1) Boot ha1616ua1_343A.bin...... followed by 2) Restarting followed by 3) Go back to 1. There's no option to * and...

UC Module reinstallation - just booting

Hi, I was using the USB Initiator version (2.0.3), same as https://support.avaya.com/css/SAFE/downloads?downl... suggested by tipeter, however still giving me the same result. I tried hal2100's suggestion, as in using windows XP (when installing USB Initiator, it automatically installed .Net...

UC Module reinstallation - just booting

I only went into the BIOS because the UC110 was never booting from the flash drive, which I imagine it needs to do to reimage. The BIOS boot sequence puts the flash drive lower in the boot preference sequence than the solid state drive, so without changing the boot sequence I cannot see how the...

Yes 1XP is in the trusted zone. I posted this, as spent a long time getting to this point, and thought I would share it, to save someone else the pain. [bigsmile] regards PK

Problems with one-x portal and Sophos Web Intelligence Service

Hi, I've been having some truly appalling reliability issues with one-x portal on a UC110 (including the latest 8.1), whereby Internet Explorer 8, Chrome & Firefox wouldn't even connect properly. Sometimes IE 8 would connect, however take an age to present voicemail messages, sometimes you...

UC Module reinstallation - just booting

Hi, This touches on another recent similar post, so apologies. I'm trying to factory reset a UC110 module. I've tried two different memory sticks, including both FAT & FAT32, used "UC Module USB Initiator" to create an appropriate flash drive (option Install, recreate = ticked). This...

    BCM 400 Cannot boot up

could be corrupt HDD or PSU. I've had a recent problem where BCM400 had all the LEDS flashing and power looked good however PSU had a fault on it and once replaced it booted successfully.

    BCM 400 (v4.0) Flashing Lights

The caps on the motherboard prone to failure were labelled as Leylon and green and gold in colour. I'd be very surprised if there are any BCMs with them that have survived this long, as they would have failed a few years ago. regards paul

BCM450 in continual reboot cycle - caused by UPS
