Yet again, it's time for a new thread for the ever-popular Vanity Plates series...Over 800 posts so far...Wow! More than a trilogy, more than a quadilogy, quintilogy, sexilogy (Woo-hoo!), septilogy, octilogy...it's now a nonilogy.

Over the weekend I saw SANTA on a red truck.
either it was Dave riding around or (since it is Xmas time) it was the Coca-Cola truck...
I wish I could say that it was I, but this Santa drives a blue Honda Pilot.

Oh Turkbear - I only meant to malign the cold - not the scenery or the state. I have no doubt it is beautiful and exhilarating and I will happily watch it in High-Def from my comfortably air-conditioned living room for at least a few Surly Beers.

But me and fishing don't get along and we haven't for a loooooooooong time. And I've pretty much experienced all the cold I hope to. It's not you, it's me. :)

Last few days have been around 15-35F

Hey, no fair. I live in South Carolina, and I'd like to see 35 right now. Actually, according to weather.com, we may be seeing 50 degrees next week! Break out the sun-screen! [wink]

@kjv
The interesting weather patterns this year are giving us a mild winter and making the east coast get pounded it seems. At least that is as much as I have gathered from the news I watch. I really don't read up much on weather unless I intend to be outside. Which, when it is cold like this, is rare (no good place to go tubing around where I live / work). As for traveling, the weather doesn't hold back any car trips around here. Too used to it. [wink]

Last few days have been around 15-35F

Our forecast for today is 19 to 31. Of course, where I live that's 31 Celsius [sunshine]

Um, not nice. You know, SOME things should just be kept to oneself.

Last week I saw two silver Lexus SUVs parked next to each other at a local Golden Corral restaurant. Both had NC license plates. One had WEALTH1 (or WEALTHY1...I forget which...too much football rotted my brain), and the other had WEALTH2 (or WEALTHY2). Apparently all of their money was spent on the vehicles and the trip out here to Indy, so they had to go slumming at the Golden Corral.

[T]hey had to go slumming at the Golden Corral.
Hey, around here, Golden Corral is THE place to go. ;-)

Saw EEEEERS the other day. Was confused until I noted the bumper sticker showing they were fans of the WVU Mountaineers.

I saw this one on a Cadillac yesterday...

I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't like how some people appear to be calling attention to their standing in society. This one appears to be one of them, along with the two Lexus SUVs I posted earlier in the week (WEALTHY1 and WEALTHY2). Yeah, ok...maybe it's just jealousy on my part. [wink]

Reminds me of a gold VW bug I saw -- 24k.

Another example of "context, context, context". 24K on a VW bug doesn't quite say the same thing as 24K on a caddy. :)

A couple days ago on a Lexas I saw XMASSUV
So I was curious why he was still driving it halfway through January. Must have the Christmas light syndrome.

As someone who used to drive a caddy in college, I might just have to agree with Ben there.

Hi,
I am not sure that
XMASSUV
relates to Christmas ( though it could have been a Christmas gift).

It could be much ruder ( remember an X is a kiss, as in XXXOOO in a love note, so
'Kiss My A__ SUV' could also be the message)
