Yet again, it's time for a new thread for the ever-popular Vanity Plates series...Over 800 posts so far...Wow! More than a trilogy, more than a quadilogy, quintilogy, sexilogy (Woo-hoo!), septilogy, octilogy...it's now a nonilogy.

Over the weekend I saw SANTA on a red truck.
either it was Dave riding around or (since it is Xmas time) it was the Coca-Cola truck...
I wish I could say that it was I, but this Santa drives a blue Honda Pilot.

I saw a few on a trip up to Chicago...
MAN D 86
AGONY - This was on a nice Cadillac...yeah, I'm sure he was in agony driving that nice car.
Z SULTAN - This was on a Dodge Viper.

Saw on a new Nissan (whatever the new version of the 280ZX is now - 300Z? something sporty and red.)

N2 ZIAST

I'm not sure why he split it up - I think you are allowed to go without spaces.

And later on an older Mercedes (Not older like in "classic" - older like in "beat up"): THE PIG

I figure he owns a BBQ restaurant or he has really low self esteem....

There is someone up here that drives a Hummer.

Their license plate says:
IWANTA

(the plate, of course, is above the word Hummer)

That reminds me of one of the first personalized plates I ever saw here in California. It just said...

OR BUST

The plate of course had California centered just above those letters.

Saw this yesterday...

SEUNCRT

I'm guessing "See you in court"?

Greg,

[tt] IWANTA[/tt]
HUMMER

Doesn't make sense to me. S/he already got one!

Shouldn't it be:

[tt] IGOTA[/tt]
HUMMER

or perhaps even

[tt] ISTOLA[/tt]
HUMMER

HTH,

p5wizard

A. I'm assuming it's a guy driving the Hummer.
B. The word "Hummer" is not referring the vehicle he is driving. I will elaborate no further, lest I risk being banned from the forum. [censored]

Well, it could still be a totally innocent tag as well.. it could just be saying... I want one, and I got one... case closed.

I strongly suspect that rjoubert is correct. That was the first thing I thought when I saw the tag. (Not that I'm really proud of that fact)

GRM U K 9 - This was on a SUV with marketing for a dog grooming biz.
DABUS1 - This was on a large conversion van.

I saw this one on a local car: TN WALK
I can decide if they raise horses or are into old dances.

I saw GOP YES the other day. I'm guessing the owner is a Republican.

I saw ASHTREI on a Cadillac yesterday. I'm guessing the driver is proud of the being a smoker.

I'm not sure if I've posted this before or not, but yesterday I saw RED LINE on a yellow Saturn Sky. It was parked in a handicapped spot, which seemed a bit odd to me. It did have a valid handicapped parking tag, but if the driver is indeed physically handicapped, wouldn't it be easier to get into and out of a vehicle that's not built so low to the ground?

That's a pretty cool looking car - Saturn Sky. I've seen a couple of them where I live, but had no clue what they were. Now I know, my life is complete. [wink]

I agree, it's a pretty cool little car. I think the Pontiac Solstice is even cooler though.

Pontiac Solstice is essentialy the same as a Saturn Sky. However, since GM is discontinuing both of those nameplates, I wonder if it will be rebranded to, say, Chevrolet.

I know two people who have identical Solstices - both red. One bought hers; the other won it at our church gala.

I'd like to change the world, but I can't find the source code.

Hi,
Just a note about the Saturn - REDLINE was the designation used for the high performance ( relatively) version of the standard Sky...So that owner was probably bragging.

Yes, and probably also attracting some unwanted attention from law enforcement. They're just asking for a speeding ticket.
