I have two used Radiant P1220 with XP Embedded. I would like to upgrade these to PosReady 2009 so I can write some Pos.net code for a friend of mine that owns a non-profit cafe in a sports facility. These were purcharased used. What is the easiest way to upgrade them to PosReady 2009. The OS is installed on a flash drive, but I do not know if it is CF or Udoc.

Thanks
Doug

I have a copy of the termial image for either udoc or HD. What size udoc do you have on your termial 4 GB or do you have a Hard Drive?

Coorsman, thanks for the reply. It's flash, but I don't know the size and unfortunately the facility is closed today. I will check tomorrow and repy back.

Thanks
Doug

Coorsman, I was wrong my Radiant's have a 40GB HD. The Device Manager list the disk drive as a ST340215A. What is the best way to get a copy of the image?

Thanks
Doug

Coorsman, thanks a bunch. As for the deployment, here is my plan.

1) Build Windows PE image and deploy to flash drive
2) Boot Radiant P1220 from flash
3) Use ImageX to deploy image

Any suggestions/comments?

Thanks
Doug

Coorsman, When I applied the image, the terminal would keep rebooting right after the splash screen. I ended up putting xp professional on it for now. Have you see this before?

Thanks again for you help.

Doug

I can upload the full HD image if you need.
let me know

That would be great. I can use it on the second machine.

Thanks
Doug

Coorsman, Worked perfectly. Thanks again for the help!

Hi Guys,

I'm setting up a P1220-0471 which is starting to feel sluggish. I'd love to install a clean up to date system, ideally on a CF card if that is safe.

I'd appreciate any help and advice particular to this model, CF cards, which brands and types are safe to use in a long term installation.

Coorsman thanks ever so much for posting the file link above which unfortunately no longer works.

Could I bother you to share this file again.

Thanks and all best,

Thanks Coorsman, that's great!

So this is an image suitable for a Compact Flash card or does one need a special type of memory. Would you recommend a certain type of flash card

Any chance I could bother you for a copy of the hard disk image also. I have an evaluation copy of posready 2009 running but I really would be happy with just a copy of the os the machine came licensed with.

How does one go about imaging a hard drive or flash storage with this file

Many thanks in advance and kind regards from London UK

Hi,

I tried putting the card image on a HD as I don't have a suitable CF card on hand. It crashes and reboots halfway through startup as reported by dfurneyls' post above.

I'd be tremendously grateful if you'd be so kind and reup the HD image.

The 4gb card image above, will that work with a CF card or is it strictly for the optional usb on disk plugin flash drive?

Many thanks in advance,
Arthur

Ya you will need the HD image. I have only been able to get the CF images to load on the 2GB and 4GB.

Thanks Coorman, I'd be most thankful if you have the time to upload it to your drop box or perhaps you know somewhere I could download it.

Can't thank you enough for this, I think it's so unnecessary for us to go out and buy an OS upgrade when the machine came with a perfectly good prepaid licence. Radiant really should have these images available to customers on their support site.

Eagerly awaiting your response.

Kindest regards from London,
Arthur

I'll try and download again. I have tried the past few days but had to stop bc of bandwidth issues.

Cheers,
Coorsman

Thanks for trying in any case Coorsman. Could always try wetransfer.com which is free and quick to use. You should be able to post a link in reply.

Otherwise I'll keep checking daily.

Thanks so much,
Arthur.
