Can some one please help me set up Okidata 320 Printer to SX 50 System. I've tried connecting cables and programming as book says, but still doesn't seem to be working.

is it the dip switch settings you need on the Okidata printer?

on some Okitdata there are dip switches inside the printer, is it the SX-50 programing you need?

I think dip switch. Lets do switches first and see if that workds. As far as I know, i've done programin correct to the best of my knowledge but May not be correct....

I am on line and found some specs on the printer, what speed, baud rate etc do you want?

has serial interface card...and also have 25 pin male to male cable...

I think I have found the service manual for this printer, am downloading now.

I downloaded a serial interface manual....

the SX-50 defaults to 1200 baud parity none 8 bits 1 stop bit
command 100 R16

everything is set to what u told me...no luck

have you programed the smdr com 100 R14 and all associated programing, trunk group and cos for extensions???

I've done SMDR ...but don't know how to do trunk group and cos...

command 151-156 r2 i is set to enable..
command 121-129 r3 set to enable..

do you have a computer that you can connect to simulate the printer, this way we would eliminate the printer?
What you can try to bypass smdr is try doing a data print *97 7772 this will dump the program in the 50, to stop do a *750
