Only three of us made it: myself, sleipnir214 and CajunCenturion. That said, it was nice to be able to see them in person (although I wish I had thought to get somebody's cell phone number - they were a little late because of a driving rainstorm en route, and they had no way to tell me that they would be late). We chattted for almost three hours, it was fun. We might meet again (moving things a bit eastward to accomodate the Gulf Coasters, say, at the Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans, or maybe the Abita Brew Pub in Abita Springs), sometime in the fall.

Hey,

I've been to Shreveport! My ex's Mom was from Lake Charles. I do miss going crabbing, and Steamboat Willie's crawfish. But she lives here now so occasionally I still get shrimp gumbo..

Anyone live in West Virginia? Or should I start a new post?

Dolores

I think you should start a new thread.

Good Luck

CajunCenturion,

Thank you for your quick reply. May I start it in this Forum or would another be more suitable? (new user does it show?)

Welcome to Tek-Tips.

This forum is about Language and Wordplay, so any thread in that area is welcome. I also allow threads for intoducing ourselves and planning get-togethers.

For topics outside of Language, then it would probably be a good idea to find a more suitable forum. In the upper left hand portion of the screen, you will find a set of links, one of which is "Forum List".

Good Luck
