Having a struggle getting the 406V2 defaulted and downgraded to V3.2 SW load.

We have defaulted 100s of 406s but this one might have a defective boot rom.

Was able to erase config using both methods - esc at bootup and them AT - AT-X2 & AT-X3 and also after bootup - at-debug - eraseconfig & erasenvconfig. Both were successful but when I reboot with the 406 connected to our LAN - DHCP - as we always do - I can't find it in IP Office Manager as we have always been able to do - with just our 255.255.255.0 SNM setting.

So I direct connected our test PC direct to it - set PC IP to 192.168.43.1 and after another factory default on the 406 - used the default IP for it - 192.168.42.1. Manager find it but to access it I need the Service User Login. We know all the other Login/Passwds but never have had to use this one. Our IP Office servcie docs don't list it.

Any help? I just want to reload the 3.2 SW and then I think it will straight up and run right. Might be defective and need repair but won't know until we get access to it.

i will give you each one for this....

We keep them at 3.2 as it is a safe load and so we don't pi** off our field techs who might run into the same issue as I did today.
I suppose you still use MS Windows 98 and MS Windows NT?
These are quite stable nowadays....
