Misunderstood Phrase 1

When I was a kid I saw an ad that claimed:

"Lettuce $.32 a head - none higher!"

I started lauging hysterically because I thought it meant that you could not find a higher price anywhere. I had to ask someone why the store would brag about having the highest price in town. It was embarrassing to discover that I had totally misunderstood the intent of "none higher".

What phrases have a muddled meaning to you?

Of course I was stumped by the question, "Are you a Vietnam Era Veteran?"

I believe that I am a veteran of that era, but I don't think it's what they are getting at.
