Where can I get info about upgrading a new IP 500. I keep getting a failure message when I try to upgrade it out of the box. The leds are flashing red approx every 5 sec. i programmed a user, and a trunk to no avail.

try to make a reset with the reset button and then upgrade to the 4.0 GA Software.
IP 500 is shipped from the factory with 4.0.0 a not fully functioning version.

I did a reset and it still failed the upgrade to 4.0.5. I will try again. Catalyst told me to read tech bulletin 80 but that didn't help.

Its either firewall on your pc blocking port 69 the tftp port or you are putting the wrong password.
