Hi,

Upgraded 5 * 9608's and 5 * 9611g's to S6.2009 and not experienced any jitter issues.

Also resolved and redial issue for me (last digit missing)

I have updated all 400+ of my 9608 fleet to 6.2009. So far no complaints. If I find any I will post here.

Only found 2 minor issues so far:

1. Screen saver does not move
2. When on SendAll active and a call is received, the short ring alert (if configured) only works on certain phones.

Anybody else experiences these issues?

Yes, the screensaver issue. We were using our company logo, but now it only shows the default, and it doesn't move. So it doesn't save the screen anymore.

Anybody heard of when the next firmware update is being released?

Been about 2 months now!

Two new patches PSN to be released by the end of April 2012 for static, echo, and low levels on later released PSNs. Hopefully this will end the frustrations with these phones on 6.2.

FYI, Avaya has release SP4 as of 30 April. If looking for the download on the new support site select "I don't know" in the release field.

Hey All,

Am having 2 issues with the 9611g handsets - both I suspect relate to "sleep" timers. Interested in hearing if anyone else has experienced similar and any suggested fixes!

1. Time slips on the handset - only a minute or two a day. When the "Phone" button is pressed, the time updates.

2. PC's/Laptops connect via the network port on the back of the handset. First thing in the morning, plug laptop in and get no network connectivty. Only way (we've found thus far) to fix is to reboot the handset.

H.323 6.2.1 was released today and can be downloaded from support.avaya.com. The direct link to the ReadMe file is
@Berksta - One of the resolved issues is noted as "PC port of the phone is not working after undocking the laptop."

Latest firmware H.323 6.2.1 seems to have fixed a number of issues. PC ports work, sound quality greatly improved, line removed from around screen saver - so far, quite good.

The time issue I mentioned in an earlier post was caused by a CM issue - nothing to do with the phones/firmware.

Our pilot group has noted one issue thus far - random disconnects when callers are put on hold. Has anyone else upgraded to the latest firmware and experienced this or any other issues?

Hi All,

Has anybody rolled out S6.2119 to a large number of 9608's and 9611G's and if so how long and how's it going?

I have it running on 36 phones. It has been running for about two weeks and I have heard no complaints.

I have 9608 IP phones running the latest 6.2 firmware, and our displays don't seem quite right. With FBONSCREEN set to 0, we have our line appearances on the first page of buttons, and all features on the second page. With FBONSCREEN set to 1, it puts the feature buttons on the first page, but then duplicates the feature buttons on the 2nd page. We have locked the screen to 1 page so they don't see that at the moment, but is that how it is supposed to be?

h382 - FBONCASCREEN Feature Buttons on Call Appearance Screen works as you described. Therefore this is the normal behavior of the feature.

Does anyone know where I can download "96x0 H.323 R3.1 SP4"? I see it referenced in the new 46xxsettings.txt file released a couple days ago...but cannot find it to download at all.

Also I have 9630 phones that will freeze up and need to rebooted. What firmware do people have the best luck with the 9630 phones?

FYI

I now have 120 handsets (mix of 9608 and 9611g's) using firmware S6.2119 and across multiple sites.

All appears to be working well.

Intend to upgrade another 100 or so over the next couple of weeks.

@leftyx - H.323 3.1.x and SIP 2.6.x apply to the older models of 9600 Series. For the 9608/9611G/9621G/9641G, the current software is H.323 6.2.2 and SIP 6.2. For the 9601, it is SIP 6.1.4.
