Callers list key on 3904's

Ok, I am probably missing something simple. I have a CS1000, version 4.5. My 3904's are all version 8.9. I have CLT on button 27 turned on and can see 'Callers' on the display, however, the call log never logs any calls to it. What am I missing? Here is a sample TNB:

Log options

Log all calls
Log unanswered calls
New call indication On

That's why I'm kinda stumped!

Unplug count to 5 and plug back in, give that a try.

Ace, that's what I do when my 'puter acts up too. Anyway, it didn't work. This is frustrating, because I am sure it is something simple!
 
another shot in the dark....chg ADD to TDD in CLS, after that I surrender...

So when you hit the "call log or the key that looks like a note book"
move the up down key to highlight Callers List and press the softkey (select)

do you get the same result as pressing the "callers" softkey?

If you pressed LOG ALL CALLS then the "done" softkey and you still don't get anything... ??

Add a name to the SCR key on the phone.... just to see...

All I get when I hit the 'Callers' softkey is:

Call Log
0 New, 0 Total
Use Quit to exit

I have outed and rebuilt the TN as well. I will try your suggestion in the morning when I come in.

Try a different 3904 on that TN, see if you get the same results.

Here is an mesaage from Nortel. it says MCR i200x but maybe this is also your problem om the M3900.

Callers List - Log only unanswered calls not working with MCR i200x - non key 0.


Problem Description

The Callers List not working on i200x sets if the call is answered on MCR non key 0. Patch MPLR21335 fixes the problem for key 0 but not keys 1, 2 and so on. Patch MPLR21335 is part of MPLR23293 <dep list patch>. The i200x sets are on the latest firmware 0604DAS.

Problem Resolution

The problem can only be resolved for key 0 on 4.50.88 as per patch MPLR23293 <dep list patch>. The problem cannot be patched for non-key 0 on Release 4.50.88.



The problem is fixed in Release 5.0.

Do you have any phone that the log list works on?

If so swap it with the one that doesn't work to seee if it works on that TN, if it works on that TN then it is a phone problem like I said.

Hi all,

I have found 2 phones that the call list works on. I have about 100 that it doesn't work on. All are version 8.9. I outed one of the phones that the list doesn't work on and copied a good TN to it...still no joy. I rebuilt a TN to match the working one, and, again, no joy. I just think it is odd that I would have so many that don't work right, and only a couple that do.

REDSOX, I will try the ICDA just for kicks and let you know.
CHRIS, I will try to reach my vendor and see what he says about that patch.

I would try a Firmware download on a set just to see if that was an issue, even if you have to force it, while you are waiting on your vendor it is something to try anyway.

when you have the call log options on the screen make sure log all calls is highlighted and you hit the done button. If you dont hit "Done" it will not take.
