Blast from the past, trying to get a couple of these working for an experiment.
Goal is to get two MCAs working on M2616s. I've tried with a decent handful of NT9K generation M2616 sets, which the documentation assures do not require any internal modification like the older NTZK and early NT2K variants did to support the MCA.
Connecting the data module as per the docs to the M2616, with an A0367335 27 volt AC inline transformer and 6-conductor line cord (voltage tests good on the end of the line cord plugged into the set) I don't get any sign of life from the MCA.
The docs suggest that the red LED on the module should either illuminate or flash to indicate that the module has power, this does not happen. The MCA functions do not appear in the program key menu either. No prompts appear on a connected terminal.
Probing with a multimeter set to AC and DC in places on the MCA board that I'd expect there to at least be voltage present shows none to be found.
Does anyone recall if there were steps/considerations that the NTPs don't mention on the subject? Given that I've tried a sizable number of NT9K M2616 sets, two different data modules and two different AC supplies as well as connecting to two different PBXs I'm running out of ideas.
