I am trying to figure a way to see what version some used 500v2 cabinets are "Locked at". I understand that once one call is made from a 500v2 cabinet that Software version is written to the Motherboard and the Cabinet is locked to version and a license must be purchased to go beyond that version.

Either - run the upgrade wizard which will show you the licenced software release (ensure no upgrade licences are live on the config), alternatively if it is a default bit of kit, then just log into it and go to the licence tab and it shows the allowed maximum software release.

The upgrade only shows what is available with a license upgrade to get to the version manager I am using. it does not show what the cabinet is currently locked at

This has been asked recently, use a serial cable and inspect the boot log with PuTTy, it will show the version it is locked on.

I have tried that, actually with Putty also. Did not see a SW version listed
