In active directory, you need to assign the dial-up accessability to that account. You can goto the properties for that user that you want to be able to dial-up and give him permissions to do so. also check routing and remote access and make sure its configured properly.

And as far as the DNS you should enter, I use the DNS assigned to my PC. mine is techhelp.no-ip.com and thats the DNS my POP server handles and handles well i might add.

Well, You might have a corrupt HDD. Try running a scandisk and look for any problems there. If it doenst show any, but it still freezes, Fdisk, Format, Reinstall.

I would try to rename the file to a .txt extention, then add something to it, then save it and delete. Who knows it may just work.

Just a suggestion, Try uninstalling it, then installing it as the power user,Giving the appropriate permissions to the power user, and then just edit the permissions for the program as you see fit.
