I havent setup active directory much, so i'm pretty new to this. My question is, When i was installing active directory and it asked where i wanted to store certain files, i told it c: and then it asked for a username,password, and domain. So i put admin. the password for the admin and i tried both with and without the domain in the field and it gave me access denied. Yet when i put those files on my other hard drive it installs active directory just fine and without a flaw. I have it installed now and it runs great, but for future reference, does anyone have any suggestions?

Active Directory as far as i am aware needs NTFS as the files system. Is your c fat/fat32 and the other drive nTFS perhaps

No, Its on windows 2000 advanced server, and an NTFS filesystem

Hi Kid Gloves;

Is your Server connected to the Internet? if so... What domain Name are youo using for your Domain Name? Also did you check to make sure that no one else is using that particular Domain Name?

Answer these questions for me first and then we'll come up with a solution to your situation!
