I was meaning, you can program the PBX using a dterm phone. I was curious if you could use another phone. Not directly connected to the pbx. Like my home phone or cell phone. No big deal I got it working with hyper terminal. Thanks again for all your help.
Can you explain in further detail. I don't understand what indial or DITing a pstn line to that extension. Currently I have a DID associated to the extension of the dial in modem. I have connected using hyper terminal and was able to do everything I needed, but making changes from a cell...
Nevermind guys, i got it going!!! Thanks for all your help. Last question, is there a way to setup some sort of authentication or security to prevent unauthorized access? Thanks again all of you!
Just to make sure I understand, I have the ext and associated it with a DID. so i just dial that number from a PC to connnect, then open hyper terminal, and use the same keys i use in MOC terminal? I don't need a modem string, or anything else???
Ok thanks for your help on this, one more question, what do I use to connect with the PBX? Software? I have all of the manuals for the PBX, is there any documentation explaining how to make changes to the PBX? Thanks,
Hi, I want to setup an extension so I can dial in remotely and make simple changes to the system, like call forwarding. Can someone explain how to set that up? Thanks,
Currently we have a DID block of 100 and they are associated with 5xx series of stations. we just bought another 100 DID's and are trying to associate them with stations 6xx. I have went through cmd 760 & 761 and setup the digit converstion. But when I dial 60, the phone displays Restricted...
That makes sence. So I am gonna list how a station is setup here and maybe you can tell me if its right or incorrect. Or suggest another way.
Under key data assignments for a dtp-8-1 phone keys 1-5 are programmed as station speed dial. F1101-F1105. Then 6 is programmed as handset/headset. 7...
I am curious what the difference is between Speed Dialing and One Touch dialing. I use matworx when setting up the memory assignments for a new extension. And each ext has a one touch and speed dial memory assignment. But Why. What is the purpose of both. From what I have seen, either can do...
Hi, all mail that we send from our company is blocked by AOL. I am working to fix this problem but am having a tough time. Hoping someone has had this same issue and can provide some insight. At this point I feel the problem is because when performing a reverse DNS lookup of our IP, it fails...
Thanks alot guys, both of you. Sorry I haven't responded. I just got the email saying that I had responses to my question. I do have both manuals and got it working. Thanks for all your help. Both of you :)
It is possible to create a extention that doesn't allow dialing. When the handset is picked up, it automatically dials a programmed ext. Kinda like the red presidential phone. :) We just want it so when its picked up it rings another location and then they answer, but the user cannot dial...
So if i just pull out the cotb card an insert the cotg, our 4 pots lines will be up and working again? But incoming caller id data won't be coming across until i install the 4rstc card? 20 is our PRI, i should change that to 15? What does this feature do?
cmd f63 de 005fffa9 de = FFA9: 28 ff ff ff
We are located in northern california. So installing these cards is a major job? I have spoke with our local vendor. They are not very good at supporting this system and that is why I am trying to avoid using them. Our system is configured to use a...
i have all the manuals, including the feature programming manual. CMD 35129 de 00-63 de = 7. CMD 3509 de 00-63 = 15, except for 3509 de 20 de = 8. CMD 3520 de 00-63 = 15, except for 3520 de 20 de = 00. i hope that is what you wanted. I am not sure where to start on this project but any and...
When I install digital (4LCDQ) or analog cards (4LCD-A) depending on the slot. It gets 4 lens. IE digital card = LEN 0116, 0117, 0118, 0119. Well I installed a PN-AUCA card yesterday in slot LT13. This is a 2-line card. I assume it will use LEN 0120, and 0121. But what happens with the...
