OK, I'm back up and running! I appreciate all of the help on this. I'll give you all some closure. My best guess was the motherboard. After getting a new (refurbished) system, I was left with no working mag reader. This time, I went through the sequence of BOH OPOS with the naming RSMsr...
mbutler, thanks for the response. Yes, I've swapped out known working readers. I'm thinking hardware settings, improper folder hierarchy etc. It's not on any COM port. Do I have another OPOS going? I'm so stumped.

Hello, I went about switching out a Radaint P1220 for a used p1510. All is well except the mag reader. My steps were caveman style. I pulled the old harddrive out and put it in the 1510. I loaded in the 1510 package. Following instructions in this forum, I was able to get the...
I love answering my own posts, but it's my own fault. Most of the information was already here in the FAQ's. Thanks to all that answer these questions, it's an invaluable help. I've posted in the past and have gotten great results. What I've learned from this post (DUH!), is do my research...
Well, I'm almost there. I've downloaded and installed drivers and good to go except for the 'failed to register station name, error ncb_lana_num field invalid" I have the terminal off-site. Is there a way to test this without being hooked up to the network?
Thanks.

Hello! I was able to purchase a used 1510 to upgrade from a 1210 Radiant. Other than swapping out the hard drive and install new drivers for the touchscreen etc., are there any other steps I would need to follow? Is it as simple as I think it should be?
Thanks.
John
Hello and thanks!
I have a terminal with the blue screen of death. After troubleshooting, I'm at the point where I need a new harddrive and new windows xp. After putting the old drive on another computer as a slave, I was able to make a disk image and am able to copy files to and from if...
corrsman and endyem, you have no idea of how much time and money you have saved me! Most importantly, I can go back to running my restaurant! I have had no problems since switching our power cord (so simple) and cleaning the dust. I am in your debt. I wish my tech support company worked as...
Thanks coorsman, I'll start there and update. When you say power supply, I'm assuming to replace the corded power supply, not the supply inside the unit...at least first. I'll hope for lots of dust to make this fix easy. Thanks again for getting me started, at least I fell like I'm doing...
Hi, my Radiant p1220 has started a glitch where it powers down and reboots for no apparent reason. Hardware wise, I've ran new cat-5 cable, changed out power conditioner, basically looking for power/connection issues. There is no rhyme or reason to this issue. Sometimes it happens once or...
Pasupport. Thanks so much. Didn't think about the terminal...sometimes I miss the obvious stuff. P.S. does anyone know the Alt-X trick? I can't find it.

Hi...and thanks in advance for even reading this!
Should be a simple issue. I set up a new revenue center (banquets). I set up a new employee entitled "banquet bartender" and listed them under banquets. What have I done wrong that anything rung up under that employee does not report to my...
Hello,
On a busy Friday night I would like my manager to be able to tender a check for a server without taking ownership of this check. Where is the option to check or un-check this security level?
I do not want my manager to take responsibility for the sale or have to do a check out.
Thanks John
Bo. Thank you soooo much. What may have been simple for you saved me a ton of time, frustration and money. I only hope one day I can return the favor.
Regards,
John
Hi. Should be a simple question. In my menu item area, I have only 35 spots set up for appetizers and would like to add 50 more. I have plenty of unassigned numbers (000036-001499). I've seen before, a method of setting up one template and copying it for the other 49. I'd love to learn to...
