You cold grant those 3 users full permissions to the 8 folders. Far from a domain admin, but they'll be able to manipulate the folders any way they want to.

Just curious, but are you using the Microsoft Exchange Feature? Or are you using Internet Mail (POP3/IMAP)? What version of Outlook are you using?

We had a lot of problems when we changed our local DA accounts for our database administrators. They were kinda mad. Also, our security folks were thrown off because they used it to authenticate to the application, which used Domain Authentication.

Don't use Word for making web pages :)
If you have no choice and you have to, follow this:
When you click on the "Save As..." and you select "Web page (htm., html)". Goto Tools, and click on Web Options. The second tab along the top is "Files", the first option is "Organize Supporting Files in...
Try this:
Open up any folder on your computer.
Go to:
Tools --> Folder Options...
Along the top will be "File Types"
Scroll down until you see "DOC" for word documents (make sure they are, in fact, word documents you're trying to open). It should say the File Type is Microsoft Word, not...
Do you have "Allow inherentable permissions from parent to propagate to this object" selected (should be at the bottom)? If you do, it's pulling the permissions from the folder above it. Try turning it off, and then see if you can change your permissions then.

If I remember correctly, there's an option under Outlook 2000 where you specify if you want it to be Only Once per Sender or Every Email Received. I only have access to Outlook 2003, which apparently is significantly better than 2000, but I remember doing this for a few of my users.

What I normally do is just create a new PowerPoint presentation, resize the presentation to the size of the image, and then save the single slide as a .jpg. Poor mans way.

The formula I have always used has been: [h]:mm:ss. You can also use h:mm:ss, but if you go above 24 hours, Excel will freak out and do some random things with your cells.

I'm using Exchange 2003. You will have to create a template letter for your auto-response. Your rule will probably look something like this:
Apply this rule after the message arrives
with help desk in the subject
and with help desk in the body
reply using (template_name.oft)
and move it to...
That's correct, you need SSL up and working on your (I believe) web and exchange server. We had some problems with the initial setup, but had them resolved with some minor tweaking.

If you're using Outlook Web Access you user(s) can change their passwords from there. As a work around for my employees that went offsite, I either made their passwords never expire until they returned to the mother ship, or I assigned them a temporary password and forced them to change it when...
That's great!! Thanks for your answer!!
But I was just wondering about a percentage of resources that would be added if you switch TIR on.
For example, if Job 1 takes an hour, and with TIR on and Move detection, Job 1 now takes 1.5 hours. That's what I'm looking for. And if this is a RTFM...
Have you tried:
Netbackup\bin\admincmd\bppllist -allpolicies -U
This outputs all the policies for your master server. It will give all the details that is also displayed in the GUI. You can also just pipe this into a text file.

We are currently in a production enviroment and trying to plan to make some dramatic changes to our architecture. For example, we are going to start using inline tape copy, and we are using the assumption that it will add approximately 30% to the backup times for full backups (20 minutes for...
It has been my experience that you need to run out and purchase 3rd party software to setup the tape. Something like Veritas BackupExec. I had to store all my backups on my disk until we had setup the software.

Are you using the most updated driver? You can download the latest one from Sonys website:
http://esupport.sony.com/perl/swu-download.pl?template=EN&mdl_id=2697&upd_id=1452&PASSVAL=ALLOS
You can also check Microsoft auto-update, on the machines that still have access to the outside.
That's...
You can try it. I've never in an enviroment where I couldn't see my computer on the network, but mine was a very simple network. It's worth a shot. I'm not sure about the command line mode, so make sure you read the help first.

All you should have to do is doubleclick on the application. It'll load up the pretty little GUI, find your server, ensure you select the "Reboot after shutdown" option, and if no one is using it, you can change it to go in 1 second vice 30.
