Hi, for some reason, I am only getting a file choice when trying to do windows backup. I have a DDS drive installed but it is not giving me a tape option. I can see the hardware, but it is not showing me the device in Computer Management.
HELP!!!

It has been my experience that you need to run out and purchase 3rd party software to setup the tape. Something like Veritas BackupExec. I had to store all my backups on my disk until we had setup the software.

If you cannot see your tape drive in Device Manager, it is not installed in Windows, use Add/Remove Hardware to install it. You will need also drivers for your tape drive.
