I agree. That's the only solution that seems to work. I used the conference room DN to add the new line to appear and ring there, as it does on his DN. It seems to work fine. The only problem might be if they have a conference call and a call comes in on the new line and rings (it doesn't work...
I have a customer who has a 7.0 MICS w Call Pilot 100 3.0 . He has an existing line L001 that forwards to VM. He wants to add a line (call it Line 002) that he wants to forward to a separate VM box. I am thinking of ways to do this:
1. Use the CP100- Leave his his extension as is for L001 to...
The result of testing this was that the SL set plugged into the aux port can transfer calls to extensions, but does not work for direct VM transfer, using # 14. The limitation is that there is no way to access the feature key. This is for rel 7.0
Does anyone know if there is a specific hearing impaired solution for the Avaya Partner digital telephone? Customer asked for some kind of rating to measure the device needed- customer asked for an "M" rating.ANyone heard of these?
My customer has a wireless single line plugged into a Partner 18D set. How can this single set transfer calls to other extensions' voicemail by the flash button? If the voicemail transfer feature F14 can't be used, can one transfer a call to an extension, then let the extension ring and go to VM?
Check your Xfer Callback in System-Features. Set the ring amount to equal rings in CFNA. Also, check the DRT to Prime and delay. I always set the ring amounts to be equal (all usually 4). If one is greater (the manuals differ on this) you get problems like yours.
I have been to Nortel schools in Richardson and in or near Buena Park, CA. The schools are the best with the best teachers. The questions you posed are answered mostly from experience, so go for it.
There is a lot of confusion about CID. If you already have incoming CID when picking up handset, you might not need to do any programming. The incoming CID appears after 2 rings on Norstar AND ONLY IF caller has CID. If caller has no CID nothing appears.
Remove the line appearances from the sets, and put lines in a pool group with 9 access code. Calls between extensions can be achieved with intercom buttons. Outgoing calls will
from ICM buttons by with dialing 9.

OK. Prime line is set to Pool A. they want to use the ICM buttons, however, as they did before, when they had a Pri, but now they have analog lines.
Regarding F 649, do you have to have an access code for it to work? Won't the pool line work by just pressing the button that F 649 is on, with no...
A customer has a CICS 4.1 with 5 lines that they don't want the lines to appear on the phones. For outgoing calls they want to press the intercom button, grab the next available line and dial out. The lines are loop start. I changed the lines from Public to Pool A, and gave each extension Y for...
How can you program the CICS r7.0 w CID to display only the company pilot number (555-6000) on all outgoing calls? Currently, the actual line number is displayed on calls.
Thanks,

It seems many of us are having issues with forwarding lately. I have a MICS 7.0 w Call Pilot 100 3.0, and a somewhat complicated forwarding problem as well.
The short story- calls go to same VM greeting twice before one is prompted to leave a message.
Here's the whole story-
The customer...
Installed a new Call Pilot 100 2.1 . Customer wants the DID calls to go straight to their personal mailbox after 4 rings. Currently, after 4 rings, it plays the AA greeting first, and you have to re-enter the extension. How can I disable or bypass this AA greeting, so it goes directly to their...
DRT to prime is a system wide transfer to voicemail. CF is extension by extension. I usually set each the same (4 works good).
The manual reads one number must be higher than the other to work properly (which is correct). But this way "fools" the system by 1/2 a ring, and is easier to remember...
