    Funny thread. I tried the same thing with a 2500 series router in place of my cable modem, and got the same result.     Yup, cisco supports broadband cable, however I would doubt you have the "right" router that supports that feature. Linksys makes one for under $150CDN that does the above features for home use.

    Ensure if you just installed these switches that you have disabled spanning tree on the host ports. The delay of setting up spanning tree will cause problems with netware trying to find its servers. Cisco calls it "portfast" (which must be enabled to reduce spantree delay...)
