Sorry I didn't see this sooner. You can conference up to 6 members without using a bridge.
All you need to do is set up the conference on a digital set with multiple call-appearances and conference the polycom in as one of the members. Once all parties are connected, including the polycom...
change system-parameters features
Depending on what version you system is, it's on page 7 or 8 of this command.
I'm not sure if this will work, and you may want to check with Medak or Avaya, but there is a Recall Timing Field.
I believe you may set the flash interval there in milliseconds...
There is an option on the first page of the trunk group that you can set for outgoing trunk display. Set it to Y and you should see the trunk that it's using rather than the dialed number.
Are the switches talking to each other OK?
The only thing I think you can do is assign btn-view to one of the feature buttons. Then view the call-appearance buttons with that. It won't remain permanant though.

Depending on your system, What you are looking for is a pdf called "Administration & Feature Description." This coupled with a little experience will get you a long way.
It wouldn't be a bad idea to download ALL the...
Thanks for the reply.
I have identical tie trunks set up on both ends. However, I'm using a G3si and the x.25 value in the data module type field is not valid in this switch. However, I can set up PI links to do the same thing. I also have to set up an administered connection to find the...
Hi,
I have a point-to-point T-1 going from switch 1 to switch 2. Both switches are Definity G3si Release 6 and have identical processors.
I understand that I have to add a tie trunk group to both, add a processor-interface data module, add a route pattern, change AAR somehow, HOP channels and...
You have a Nortel Meridian at a different site. You've linked them via ISDN-PRI. You can make calls from the Nortel to the Definity but you aren't able to make outgoing calls from the Nortel?
Please explain your set up a bit better. I'm also interested in how you've gotten as far as you have.
This would require you to enable trunk-to-trunk transfering. I highly advise against this for security purposes. However, if your operator knows what she's doing then go for it.
change system-parameters features
then set trunk to trunk transfers to restricted.
Usually the console will have...
I figured out the problem. In the route pattern, the numbering format must be set. When I had it set to natl-pub, it waved off. I set it to locl-pub and it worked. I also set it to unknown and it worked.
Thanks for all the replies.
OK, well I figured out the problem.
In the route pattern, you must set the numbering format to match. Natl-pub was creating the wave-off. I switched it to unk-unk and it worked. I switched it to locl-pub and it worked.
Thanks for all your responses.
Ex-GTE for the first question.

I just turned up a PRI with Verizon and cut over my DID trunks and CO trunks to point to this T-1. Incoming calls are working fine. However, when I try to outbound dial I get a wave-off from the switch.
Does anyone have a Verizon PRI that I can get some protocol settings from? Verizon...
Walt Medak and Associates offers Basic, Advanced, and Call Center Training in Portland Oregon. I took the class there and they are top notch. Probably better than Avaya themselves.
A) Because they aren't trying to promote Avaya products while they are teaching
B) Because there are about 15...
Excuse me.
Execute:
change dial-plan
What does it say for digit 8?
If it says nothing, you will get a wave off.
I believe you have to add under the second field for digit 8: DAC or FAC
